I Really Do Love You (Repost)Chapter 8
Tiffany took a step towards the huge metal gate & rang the doorbell, “Well, I did live here before. I do owe him an apology.” She saw Bora coming out of the large building. She smiled & ran to open the gate, “Here goes nothing.” Speaking to the maid, she returned her smile & gave her a hug, “Hi, Bora. I have missed you so much. How have you been? How’s mother?” The maid frowned at that question, “What’s wrong? Is mother sick? Is she alright?” Her heart was beating faster & faster.
“Insook, she had passed away last week. I’m sorry we didn’t tell you earlier. We couldn’t get a hold of you since we didn’t have your number & we couldn’t find your address anywhere. Mrs. Kim had instructed people to build her a grave in the cemetery on the outskirt of the city. I’m sorry.” She spoke softly, close to tears.
“She passed away? Mommy is gone? I think it’s better this way. She won’t have to suffer anymore. She had suffered enough. Thank you for informing me, Bora.”
“She left a letter for you. Mrs. Kim also wanted to speak to you about something. She said it was important.” “Thanks. Let’s go in Bora. Perhaps you could make me a batch of your famous rice cake.” They both giggled & talked the whole way. Tiffany then took her leave to see Mrs. Kim. She felt like she was an eight year old kid again, walking down the same hallway. She walked all the way to the end this time & knocked on the door, “Come in.” It was soft but still heard. She slowly open the door & walked in. The room was extremely large. A huge chandelere hung from the ceiling. There was a large bed sitting against a wall. A desk was seen at the side. She turned to face the figure near the window. The figure moved to open the curtains. A blinding light came in through the balcony door & lit up the whole room. Tiffany brought her hands up to shield her eyes, “You are here, Tiffany. I have missed you. How have you been?” Mrs. Kim turned around & smiled. Her eyes looked troubled. They both took a seat on the sofa next to the window.
“I have been fine, auntie Kim. How have you been? Where’s uncle Kim?” Tiffany asked sincerely.
“I have been better, honey. Your uncle Kim is always in his office working. At least he comes home early now. I’m sorry about your mother. We had no way of contacting you. Her last words were for you.” She voice was thick with emotion.
“It’s alright, auntie Kim. I think my mom is happier now. She gets to be with my dad now.”
“Yes, perhaps you are right, dear.”
“Oh, Bora told me that you needed to speak to me about something important. What is it?”
“You know that my son, Jaejoong, is sick.” Tiffany nodded, “He needs someone to take care of him so he could recover sooner. He refused to have a personal nurse. Your mother agreed to have you serve him until he fully recovered. I didn’t accept the offer. I wanted to ask you first. What is your answer?” Tiffany froze. Her mother had agreed to have her serve him? She was angry at first but then she wasn’t anymore. That was her mother’s wish. She would fulfill it even if her life depended on it. She heaved a sigh & spoke, trying hard to sound confident.
“I will take care of young master Ja
