Closing the glass door behind him, Jaejoong spoke up, “Tiffany, have lunch with me? I must talk with you about us.” It sounded more like a command than a question.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Kim, but I’m having lunch with someone else. Perhaps some other time.” Before she could reach for the doorknob, she was stopped by a pair of strong hands that gripped her shoulders, “Let go of me.”
“Talk to me. I need to know why.” They were interrupted by a very cheery Seohyun.
“Hey Tiffany, I got off early so I decided to come here & wait for you.” Her smile faded away as her black, almond-shaped eyes looked from Jaejoong to Tiffany & back again. Then her gaze dropped to Tiffany’s shoulders. Seohyun immediately pried his hands off of Tiffany & stood in front of her, “What do you think you are doing? How dare you take advantage of Tiffany like that?”
“I think you have mistaken, miss. My name is Kim Jaejoong. I was only trying to treat Tiffany to lunch.” He sure could change tones fast. Just a minute ago, he sounded strong & demanding. Now, his voice was smooth & deep. Seohyun didn’t look satisfied. Quite the opposite actually. She went up to Jaejoong & slapped him, causing him to stare at her in utter disbelief.
“That was for Tiffany. For the years of torture you put her through. I assure you that if I ever & I mean ever see you lay another finger on her, you will get more than just a slap.” Tiffany was speechless. She knew that Seohyun was protective of her but not that protective, “Let’s go, Tiffany.” She left with Tiffany in tow. When they reached her white BMW mini cooper, Seohyun asked with concerned eyes, looking her over, “Are you alright? He didn’t do anything to you, did he?”
“He didn’t have a chance to. Thanks for the rescue but do you really think he deserved the slap?”
“He deserves more than that. That’s enough about him. I don’t want him to ruin my appetite. Now, where do you want to go?” She asked, with a smile.
“I think I already lost my appetite. How about we just go to Starbucks, grab a drink & just catch up on what we missed?”
“Sounds good to me.” There they went, talking & laughing all the way. In the cafe, they sat next to
