Chapter 4

For eight years now, Tiffany had helped both, Insook & Bora tidying up the rooms. She was now thirteen. She had advanced into the kitchen. She hadn’t seen Jaejoong very much since that incident years ago but hadn’t forgotten though. She had ended up with a scar on her left knee. Ever since then, Tiffany had decided to change herself. She began to wear glasses, thick ones. She had her hair in two braids that hung down her back, reaching her knee. She had bangs that covered virtually her whole forehead. She never wore a dress again. She had locked all of them up in a small case that she stuck in the back of her closet. She only wore long sleeved shirts & pants. Unlike all the other girls, she had no jewelry except for a tiny pouch that hung down from her neck on a faded, pink colored string. It was the one & only thing she had left that was her father’s.

She had attended a public high school while Jaejoong attended a private one. She was on her second year. She had made many friends. Among them was her childhood friend, Seohyun. Both, her & Tiffany were best friends. Seohyun was a very nice, sweet & pretty girl who was about two years younger than Tiffany. They hang out after school once a week at Seohyun’s house. Seohyun was also rich but she had refused to attend a private school.

“Hey, Fany, do you want to come to my house today? I just got a new movie. Maybe we could go grab some popcorn & let the film roll.” She asked in her cheery voice.

“Sorry, Seohyun. I have to help my mom today. It’s auntie Kim’s birthday. They are doing something special for her.” Tiffany replied excitedly.

“Speaking of which, didn’t you say that you have never seen her since you were like what...five?” She asked, stopping into look Tiffany’s eyes.

“Mmhmm, I don’t really even remember what she looks like. My mom never really let me see her. Only her & Bora were allowed to enter the master wing. I wasn’t allowed to go anywhere near there. I’m not really sure why. Mom never told me. I’m really glad that I finally get to see her now.”

“If you say so. Look, there’s my ride. Do you want a ride? You live very far from here.”

“No, thanks. I will be fine. Have fun.”

“You, too.” With that, Seohyun ran to the white bmw that was parked not too far from where they were. Tiffany turned around & started to take her long journey home. The only thing bad about this school was that it was three miles away from the Kim mansion. It took her about an hour & a half to get home.
