Chapter 11

“Do you realize that you missed the meeting with Mr. Chang? He’s one of our largest clients. You are a lucky woman. If he didn’t allow you to bring him the documents by this afternoon, I would have fired you on the spot. You are jeopardizing the future of this company. I don’t want someone like you working here anymore. You either type me a letter saying that you are quitting or I can fire you. Your choice.” Jessica spoke sharply, & to the point.

“What is this? You are getting rid of me now? I have worked here for over a year now.” Tiffany opened the office door & stormed outside, “I have labored hours upon hours to satisfy you. I have spent nights in front of my computer, finishing documents for you just so you can have your date with our boss’s oldest son.” Everyone in the room gasped & began to chatter amongst themselves.

“What are you talking about? I have done no such thing. How dare you accuse me?”

“Accuse you? Bull! I have never accused you of anything. Remember when I took the blame for your accident in the meeting room? Where was your temper then? You were begging me to help you. Why don’t you say anything about that? You are a damn liar, Jessica! I know even more than you think. You think you got up to this position because you are good? Both you & I know it’s because you slept with the man. You can stop looking all innocent because you aren’t.”

“What is going on here?” Her head whipped around to find two men standing behind her, “Jessica, what is the meaning of all this?”

“Uh, Mr. Park, I can explain. You see, Tiffany was late today & missed the meeting with Mr. Chang. I called her into my room & spoke to her. I had no idea she would make a scene.” Jessica spoke in her innocent voice. Tiffany glared at her.

“Tiffany, come into my office. I would like to speak to you about this matter.” She had no choice but to follow the man into the office.

“Yoochun, come in & close the door behind you. Have a seat, Tiffany.”
