Chapter 18

Tiffany was afraid. Afraid that if she let her eyes wander to the origin of the voice, it would shatter. She stood there & whispered to the moon above, “Please don’t play any tricks on me? For years, you have rose above me & watched as I cried in this very spot. Please let me leave tonight with some dignity?”

“Tiffany.” His voice was low, “The moon isn’t playing tricks on you. I’m here. Look at me.”

She froze. No, she wouldn’t turn around & look. It was all a dream. He wasn’t standing there behind her. He couldn’t be. It wasn’t possible. The feel of something warm against her neck made her spin around quickly, only to find that his soft, round, pink plump lips were only a hand span away from hers. Their gazes met & locked. Her heart beat faster & faster, louder & louder. She began to breathe heavily, really heavily. Any minute now, her heart would jump out & cling to his. With his arms, he slowly brought her closer to him & his lips made their way down.

Slowly, their lips met. How many times had she dreamt of having those lips on hers? How many times had she wished for this? As she began to relax, he deepened the kiss. Her hands slowly slid up his back & found their way around his neck. The feeling was amazing. He was amazing. It felt like an eternity before they finally broke
