Chapter 7

For the first time in her life, Tiffany actually felt safe. Even though she’s with her mother, she felt as if she was going to be taken away. She slowly opened her eyes & peered around. She didn’t want to wake Seohyun up so she quietly got out of bed & walked downstairs. She walked into the kitchen & saw Areum making breakfast, “Good morning, Areum.” Smiling, she spoke.

“Good morning, miss Tiffany. You shouldn’t be in here. It’s too dirty. Just wait outside & I will be out with breakfast in a minute.” She shooed Tiffany out of the kitchen & continued to cook. Tiffany decided to go back upstair & change.

Upon entering the room, she saw two uniforms sitting on the bed but Seohyun wasn’t anywhere to be seen, “Seohyun, where are you?”

“Here.” That came from the closet.

“You don’t need to lend me a uniform. I think I have another one at home. I can go home & fetch it right now.” She offered. Then a girl in gray/scatter star short-sleeve shirt & boxers pajama set came out & exclaimed.

“Don’t be silly. Remember, I said whatever is mine is yours. You can have that. I have too many pair of uniforms anyway. Here are the socks & a pair of shoes. I will be dressing in the closet. You can have this room. Hurry, we don’t have much time.” She said, & shut the door.

Tiffany looked at the uniform. She really didn’t want to wear a dress but it seems like she didn’t have a choice in that matter. She quickly took off her tank top & boxer pajama set & changed into the uniform. She then slipped on the socks. She left the shoes on the carpet. Out came Seohyun in her uniform, looking like she was a model straight from hollywood.

“Hey, girl. Let’s go downstairs & eat breakfast.” Before Tiffany could reply, she found herself being dragged downstairs to the dining room, “Morning, Areum. What’s for breakfast?” She pulled out a chair for Tiffany & then sat down beside her.

“Kimchi omelet. Orange juice & water as well.” The maid replied.

“Thanks. Let’s eat, buddy.” They both dug into their meals. Tiffany was very hungry. She hadn’t eaten since lunch the day before. She finished it in record time. They both went back upstairs so Seohyun could apply her makeup. She was applying some mascara when she had an idea. Seohyun turned around to look at Tiffany & grinne
