The Silent Usually Have The Most To Say
Unexpected But More Than Appreciated"My name is... Kim Jongin"
Kyungsoo looked up upon Kai with a breathless surprise. Even through the bruised, battered surface of skin, Kyungsoo could finally see the walls of his heart start to fall, and it was just enough for him to peer in to see the trust that he had now been entrusted.
Kyungsoo let the name grace his lips, with a small tug forming at the corner of his lips.
"Jongin"
The flinch of a scarred mind broke the smile that had appeared. Kyungsoo wrapped Jongin in his embrace, feeling the boy jumping at his touch.
"Kai, it's only me. I'm sorry, I didn't realis-"
"It's.. not your fault hyung"
Kyungsoo caught sight of a clenched fist over Jongin's shoulder.
"It's.."
His breath picked up and hitched, it was was malfunctioning under the weight of the past echoes reflecting and refracting in front of his eyes.
"It's hers"
Staying calm felt the only way to calm the whirling hysteria brewing and branding itself back into his brain.
Kyungsoo grabbed his hand, rubbing soothing circles over his white knuckles in an attempt at calming the other.
"Kai you don't need to tell m-"
"S-she t-t.. Told them i-i .. a-abused her"
Jongin started to shake with the full trepidation of damaged recollections.
Tears rained and spread down his face, freely ridding the bad thoughts pent up in his mind.
His quivering hands clutched both sides of Jongin's face, guiding his face towards his own, trying to gain his attention.
"Kai, Kai. Look at me, look here. Focus o-"
"I c-couldn't! I-I w-wouldn't .. d-do t-hat!"
Jongin was staring through Kyungsoo like a looking glass. Screaming and pleading to someone pictured in front of him.
"I know, I know. You wouldn-"
"B-but she t-told t-them i-i did!"
His glassy, glossed over eyes grew wide, falling away from Kyungsoo's grasp.
"I'm s-sorry! I-i d-didn..T! I-I p-promise! D-don't!
