The End Where I BeginSunhee was glad that the school bell rang not long after the embarrassing incident. She hastily packed her bag and walked out the class, proceeding to the third floor. She inhaled deeply before started climbing up the stairs. She tried to make her expression as normal as possible since she didn’t want Yoongi to worry and dig up and finally know about what had happened between Jin and her.
“When will I be faster than you to arrive here first?” she whined when she saw Yoongi was already sitting on the window sill.
“That will never happen. I’ll always be faster than you.” Yoongi tucked out his tongue.
Sunhee ran towards him to mess his hair up. “I’m looking forward for the basketball game today.”
“I can’t wait to play basketball with my girlfriend.” He pinched her cheek. “By the way, whom are you going home with today?”
“My dad is still on his business trip so I’ll be going home with my brother again. But don’t worry, I’ve told him to meet me at the bus stop quarter to 5,” told her.
“You never told me about your brother before. Is it really your brother?” Yoongi asked, acting clueless.
Sunhee grinned. “He’s not something worth to be told about,” she laughed. “His name is Taehyung. Kim Taehyung. He’s a first grader here, but he didn’t move into this school with me. He has been studying here from the start, unlike me whom started at the second semester.”
Yoongi gulped at the mention of Taehyung’s name. “Are you close to him? I mean, yeah you know step siblings usually don’t go along well.”
“That’s what funny from us. We’re so close although we lived separately back then. We used to go out together like every two weeks.” She was smiling to herself as she remembered the sweet memories. “I see him as my own brother despite the fact that we belong to different father. I don’t mind it. I love him. It’s just such a joy to have a sibling.”
Her explanation got him choked. He couldn’t believe Sunhee and Taehyung were that close. He couldn’t believe she loved Taehyung that much. He couldn’t believe he ruined them.
“How about you? You haven’t told me about your siblings either!” her cheerful voice startled him from his thoughts.
“Eh? Me?” Sunhee nodded at him. “I’m the only child in my family,” he answered.
“You must be lonely at home,” replied her. “I used to feel lonely since back then I didn’t have Taehyung around.”
Please just stop mentioning Taehyung, Yoongi was slowly getting bothered, bothered by his guilt. “Not really. I used to hang out a lot with my friends,” he said. “But my parents want me to study hard so yeah, I don’t play around much now,” he explained before Sunhee got to ask him about it.
“But we’re gonna play basketball soon.” Sunhee furrowed her eyebrows.
“Ya! That’s different!” he exclaimed right away. He started tickling her, laughing along with the squealing girl. “By the way, it’s already deserted down there.” He peeked down the window while hugging Sunhee in his arms.
“Is it?” asked Sunhee as she had a look as well. “Seems like people rushed back home today.”
“Let’s go now!” he happily shouted. “Come on!” he pulled her by the hand, but she didn’t budge. “Ya! Why are you standing still?” he pouted.
“Turn around,” she told. “Just turn around,” she repeated since Yoongi was staring at her, puzzled, before he finally did what she told.
“Ya!” he nagged when Sunhee hopped on his back, clinging for a piggyback ride. Despite his complain, he held her legs to secure her. He couldn’t help to chuckle all along at her cuteness.
Sunhee kissed him on the cheek. “Okay. Let’s go now!” she giggled.
The two was quarreling on their way down to get the basketball first before finally going to the field. It was only the two of them there playing. The freely played while sometimes teasing each other.
Yoongi was trying to snatch the ball away from her, but he failed. Sunhee secured the ball and dribbled it away to attempt for a score. The bal
