It feels good. The night is no longer cold and lonely. I don't have to dream of his arms around me, or his breath softly touching my skin. Because he is here. For real. He is holding me tightly, my back pulled to his chest. His fingers slowly drawing circles on the fabric of my shirt. Every now and then, he whispers something in my ear. And it feels like home to me. 

"I missed you so much," I whisper softly. He tightens his grip around my waist and kisses my neck, sending shivers down my spine in all the best ways. 

"I missed you too. I promise you I will never leave you behind again. I will be there, even when I'm working. I will call you, text you, send you pictures, even old fashioned letters if you want me to." I giggle, turning around to face him. He presses a kiss to my forehead, pulling the blanket up to my chin.

"I don't want you to be cold," he says simply when I give him a questioning look.

"You're a dork."

"I know."  He caresses my head, and it's weird to me that he is not being disgusted by the fact that there is no hair anymore. I mean, he would never want to show it if he was, but I can see through him, he can't lie. At least not to me. And I don't see any trace of lying right now. He truly isn't bothered by it. So why should I be? I mean, it's just hair,
