Chapter Sixteen
In Sickness And In HealthBang Yongguk
When Zelo comes out of the room, I feel my heart break. That is not the face of someone who's bringing good news.
"She will tell you the truth, hyung." He taps my shoulder, and even after he leaves and I hear the front door close, it still takes a few minutes for me to get the courage to go knock on the door of our guestroom.
"Jagi?" I softly ask.
"Come in," she says even more quiet. I enter her room, she sits on the bed with her cup of tea. The smell of lemons is so familiar.
"Please sit down," she says. I can't read her face. And the uncertainty is killing me!
"Are you seeing another man?" I blurt out. She doesn't even look at me. She only nods.
She nods.
She is cheating on me.
I can feel my stomach turn. Why? I don't even need to ask myself. I know why. I have been a terrible husband to her. No wonder she flees into someone else's arms to find the love she deserves.
"Jagi, please forgive me for neglecting you." My voice is trembling. My hands are shaking. And I can't even make up her face anymore because of the tears that are blurring my vision. She takes a deep breath.
"Yongguk, don't ask me for forgiveness, you did nothing wrong. The blame is on me, I knew what I could expect when we got married. I am a terrible person for doing this to you."
"But why?" She hesitates a few seconds.
"He makes me feel... better. Somehow. I know he will." I let
