SECRET PERSON’S POV

I know he has not completely forgotten about me, he’s still unable to move on from me. He’s still has feelings for me, this I’m sure of.

As I see the situation, it seems like the two of them are using each other. This is probably one of those rebound incidents where a person uses another person to try to forget his/her past loved. In their case, they’re both using each other as a rebound.

How can I be wrong? They both had breakups recently, so how would they easily be able to love a new person in such short period of time?  The thought is actually ridiculous for me.

After his performance on stage, my eyes never left him. Seeing him now, it brings back memories when we were “together”, or whatever that thing we had.

*FLASHBACK*

“You lose this time. Sarreh~”, said one of my friends.

We’re currently at a VIP room in one of the popular bars here in our place. This bar is actually owned by one of my friends here, so it wasn’t a problem for us to get in.

Due to boredom, we played a game, and whoever loses has to do the consequences chosen by the whole group.

In the end, I lost. I knew I was going to lose anyway, I was always the loser every time we play this game. Aiigoo~

“Okay, dear. Here’s what you gotta do.”, said Irene, one of my friends, the daughter of the owner of this bar.

They gave each other a meaningful look, faced me, smiling wickedly and said, “You have to date one of the losers in our school.”, Irene started.

“But since we’re friends here and we can’t risk ruining your image, and also ours, here’s the catch. You have to make him fall for you, start a relationship with him but...”, said Joy as she looked at Seulgi to finish the statement.

“But you have to date secretly, that is if you could even call it dating.”, and the three of them burst out laughing.

“Is that it? Really? Don’t you think this is too easy?”, I said, laughing also. “Seriously. So, who do you have in mind? Name it and I’ll break it. ”

“Ooh, darling, it’s not as easy as you think. You have to make him believe that you’re really sincere with your feelings, make him fall for you really hard and when I say stop, you go and break his heart. As for the lucky guy who gets the chance to get his heart broken by you, it’s that glasses-wearing nerd kid in your class, Donghae.”, Wendy said. She has the power to tell me when I should stop since she was the winner of the game.

“We know that you’re good with making guys fall for you, but you’re not able to prolong the game. This time, we’ll test your capability. If you lose, well, let’s think about another consequence when the time comes.”, and they laughed again as I gave them a determined smile.

I know I can do this. It’s just a piece of ((ice cream)) cake.

It didn’t take long for me to start making my move. Fortunately, he’s in the same class as me, so I did whatever it took so we’d end up working in a project together.

Of course, like all “relationships”, we started hanging out first. I made sure to have a good impression since he’s the nice guy type and all. It wasn’t hard for me to act like I’m a good girl, most people mistaken me for that frequently due to my innocent-looking face.

The day came that he confessed to me. Thanks to my acting lessons, it was easy for me to get all dramatic and emotional  as I confessed back to him. Every word that escaped my lips made me want to vomit. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps.

We started dating.

Sometimes, I get tired of dating him, he’s too sweet, too nice. He’s not really my type and I find these kind of guys boring.

One time, I purposely went out with another guy.

 I made sure that Hae could witness it. I chose the place where he usually hangs out when he’s not with me or his friends.

I was already there with the guy when Hae entered the premises. He saw it, I’m sure. I didn’t look at him directly, but I could clearly see at the side of my eyes that Hae stood there, frozen, as he witnessed me acting sweet towards the other guy. The good thing was, the other guy, whom I just met there, acted along with me without a single question.

When I saw that he left, I stopped fooling around with the guy. I acted like I received a text and I had to leave due to urgent matters. The stranger was left dumbfounded as I fled without leaving a word of farewell, not even a formal introduction.

I exited the building feeling victorious.

I got this all planned out from the beginning. He’s going to see me with another guy, which I’ve successfully done, then we’re going to argue with one another until he breaks up with me.

Brilliant, I know. This way, he’s going to be the one who’s going to end it and I’m just going to tell the girls that it would be impossible to continue, making them forcefully stop it without me breaking any rules.

Or at least, that’s what I thought would happen.

However, I was wrong. So wrong. None of those things happened.

He texted me that night. I smile as his name flash on my screen.

Hae: Hi. Are you home now?

This is it. It’s going to happen. I felt happy thinking that the end of our “relationship” is about to come.

Me: Yeah. Why’d you ask?

Hae: Nothing.

Me: Nothing? You sure?

Hae: Actually, I saw you this afternoon.

I didn’t respond for quite some time to make it seem like I’m really guilty of what he could possibly be thinking

Hae: I saw you with a guy.

Me: Hae, I’m sorry..

Hae: No, it’s okay. I understand. You don’t have to inform me about all your whereabouts.

Me: Hae, I’m really sorry.

Hae: Don’t be. You have an appointment, I understand. He was good looking, were you practicing for your acting class?

Astounded I was. How could he think that way? Shouldn’t he be accusing me of cheating by then? But why is he..? Oh my gosh it really made me speechless. Can’t this guy think negatively of me?

The day finally came that Wendy signalled me to stop. It was probably one of the best days of my life.

Of course, I already planned out my breakup drama.

If anyone saw how I acted, they would really be amazed at how good I was. Really, I wish I contacted someone from the agency and make them see my performance, I could’ve easily been scouted. Aiigoo~

So there I go, acting all hurt and sad and regretful as I left my parting words when I was facing him and the moment I turned around, I smiled the smile I never smiled for quite a while.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Our position perfectly portrays my theory. He’s standing on stage singing and looking at me and this girl’s direction, her standing right behind me. Don’t get me wrong, I know her. How could I now know her, she’s a pest. I know she’s jealous of me that’s why she keep on picking fights with me.

I know that he’s trying to make it look like he’s looking at her when in fact, he’s keeping his eyes on me. Psh, he’s still so easy to read.

Like I said, he’s just using her to make it seem like he already forgotten about me. Really, it’s ridiculous.

I know I’m so redundant for saying it again and again, but it’s just ridiculous.

I know for a fact that Jessica just broke up with her boyfriend not too long ago. And her boyfriend is the one and only Jaejoong. I’ve heard that they broke up because he had enough of her drama and clingy attitude. Seriously.

I’ve also heard that she even made a scene as if she was harassed by one of her admirers just so Jaejoong can save her. Poor girl, she tried so hard to make it look like Jaejoong came back for her when it’s pretty clear she just forced him to. She even may have threatened him.

Seeing him now, and when I clearly think about him, it wouldn’t bring any harm to me if ever I try to have him back. It would really be of my advantage since hae has gotten popular. It’s not an “if ever”, but an “I will”. *smirks*

AUTHOR’S POV

She plans her way back into Donghae’s life with the thought that it wouldn’t be that hard since it’s clear to her that he still hasn’t move on from her.

Then and there, she realizes the usefulness of taking acting classes.
