“Hello?” Ella lazily sat up from her bed while rubbing her eyes. It was 6:00 in a Saturday morning but she was already awoken by the sound of her phone ringing.

“Hua Hua!” the person screeched from the other line making Ella flinch

“Uhmm, I’m sorry but may I know who the caller is?” her brows met in confusion. She's already exhausted from the loads of work that Chen Co has been giving her. The last thing that she wanted was a prank call from a stranger

“Hey! That hurts me feelings! How could you not recognize me” the caller again excitedly replied

Ella stopped and thought for a moment

The person’s voice, it was as if he spoke through his nose

“Jiro Wang Dong Cheng!” Ella cupped in tremor. In a second, she was now completely awake

“Please, you don’t need to say my full name!” he laughed

“Da Dong!” She literally almost cried. Ella missed him so much, he had always been there for her in America. Jiro was like a big brother to her and her knight and shining armor, yep as clichéd as it is, that’s what she’d always thought of him. “How did you know my number?” she continued

“Really? Aren’t you going to ask me how I’m doing first?” a slight tone of disappointment was heard from Jiro

“Oh, How are you?”

“I’m fine, I’m really missing you heaps though! How’s China?” He asked her in curiosity

“Don’t even get me started… I swear I won’t stop blabbering and you don’t want to hear it!” Ella said in frustration

“Is it that pig?” Jiro snorted

“You’re really enjoying this right?” Ella rolled her eyes in annoyance “I swear I want to choke him like…arrgghhh! Just seriously! Once I get the chance to grab him I swear I will kill him! I won’t even give any mercy!”

Jiro laughed at her silliness. Ever since he had met her 3 years ago, she’d always loathed this man which she refuses to reveal his identity so they call him through his nickname: PIG.

“Hao le! (Ok!) Calm down! I really couldn’t imagine your face right now. I’m guessing that you’re turning into a tomato again” He giggled even louder

“Seriously what’s your interior motive? Are you calling just to annoy me? And you haven’t even answered my question yet! How did you know my number?” She shouted in irritation

“One question at a time Jia Hua! You’ll know the answer soon. For now, my interior motive? Nothing at all! I just wanted to hear your voice. I really miss you” Jiro said while smiling like an idiot

“Woah! That sent shivers to my whole being! Haha! Don’t even try and sweet talk to me mister, I won’t ever let you get away with it, now again before I fly there in America to hunt you down, how did you know my number? Oh my! Don’t tell me… You stalker! Who’s your spy?” Ella looked around the house to inspect any hidden cameras but found nothing

“You’re still as funny as ever Jia Hua, your making me miss you more” Jiro laughed at her childishness “Anyway Ella, I have to go now, I’ll call you back sometime. Save my number ok?”

“Fine. I’ll let you go for today. Bye Da Dong. Muah!” She blew a kiss on the phone “Take care ok?”

“I will, and you too. Zaijian! (Bye!)”

“Bye!” The call ended.

Silence surrounded the room that Jiro was occupying. “I love you” he could only whisper. It hurt to face reality that he could never replace that pig from her heart.
