“Why are you quitting now? Ella it’s only a week before our wedding, don’t joke around” Chun said while holding on to Ella’s wrist, preventing her from escaping. “Don’t leave me”

“I did everything for you, why are you doing this to me? Wasn’t I enough?” He pulled her into a tight hug while Ella struggled to break free from the suffocating clasp

“Let go” Ella answered coldly. “It’s over, my feelings for you were long gone” She finally had the strength to push him away

“But I need a reason. Don’t just walk away from me; can’t you see I love you too much?” Chun said with tears slowly cascading down his face

“Ella…” a masculine voice suddenly interrupted the two lovers, Ella tried to see who it was but his face was blurry

“Come with me, he’s only going to ruin your life.” The boy extended his arms, signalling Ella to take his offer

‘But I can’t just leave Chun here’ Ella was confused now

“Ella, don’t leave me please” Chun extended his arms to Ella while kneeling down “I beg you”

“No Ella don’t listen to him, with me, your free to do whatever you want, enjoy life like what you always wanted it to be before you chose this odd pathway you have right now. We can be happy together Ella. Come…” the boy once again persuaded Ella

“No Ella, don’t! He’s lying! Ella I will make you happier, you don’t love him Ella! I know you don’t!” Chun yelled, he was desperate to make Ella his again ‘You’re the only one I want Ella and no one can stop me from loving you’ Chun thought. He was still patiently waiting for Ella to take his hands

“AAAAAHHHH!!!” Ella woke from the horrible dream. “What the hell?” Ella felt beads of sweat falling across her temples “It was just a dream, just a dream” She tried to calm herself down. Ella finally hopped off the bed and made her way to the bathroom.

Suddenly she heard a knock on the door, it was Marilyn her personal maid “Miss Ella you have a visitor”

“May I know who it is?” She rubbed her eyes lazily

“It is the Wu’s, they would like to discuss about business matters, Madame Ellen wants you to join them immediately”

“Ok, thanks for that Marilyn” Marilyn bowed, closed the door and proceeded to her working base

“Why did he have to come today?!” She threw the pillow to the door out of anger, she could still remember how Chun rescued her from falling a few days ago “Stupid brain! Stop thinking about it! And you stupid heart, stop racing so fast like were part of the Formula One racing team” she pointed harshly on her brain then to her heart

After 5 minutes Ella decided to check on the visitors first before dressing up. She then made her way to the spiral stairs

While Ella started picking up her steps to where her parents were, Chun and the rest of the elders were talking in the couches

“So Chun, I heard that you took Ella out for a few days ago? Is that true?” Ellen eagerly asked

“Yes Auntie Ellen, we were enjoying the food and we did some catching up. Also, we have finally decided on a project” Chun smiled while he reminisced the events that happened in their last meeting. Her shy expression when they held hands, her nervous eyes when he saved her, it was something out of the ordinary since he had never  experienced this before not even from the other girls that he’d dated, it only proved that Ella was one of a kind. ‘But if you weren’t such a back then, that meeting could’ve already turned out to be a date’ he could only rant in his thoughts

“I see you’re making good progress. I wasn’t wrong in making this decision. You made me proud son” Charlene patted his back. “Where’s my beautiful Ella anyway? Is she going to be joining us anytime soon?” She looked side ways to find Ella but she found nothing.

“I’ll be back everyone” Chun bowed and excused himself from the elders

Ella who was trying to eaves drop automatically crouched down when she heard her name so she wasn’t visible from the large doors that separated the living room and the entrance to the second floor “Phew” she sighed. “Are you dumb?”

“Aaah! What the.. Chun how the..” Ella stuttered

“Don’t you think that you’re too big to not be noticed from where I was sitting?” Chun mocked

“Excuse me? Are you saying I’m fat? If I am, you’re a pig!” She spat, her saliva went everywhere as if it was a shower

Chun wiped his face with a handkerchief making Ella embarrassed. “Hey, aren’t you even going to make an effort and get dressed when seeing your business partner?, what are you ? A nanny?” Chun looked at her from head to toe.

She had a dress with a polyester vest for sleeping.
