“Does your list of hobbies include ‘kidnapping Ella when I have a chance’?” Ella asked in annoyance

“No” Chun answered simply while concentrating on the road

“Then, at least give me a reason, why you won’t tell me where were going? You just drag me out of nowhere. You don’t even ask for my permission” She faced him

Chun only raised his shoulders, hinting that he didn’t know why. “You’re HOPELESS!” She shouted and almost stood up from her seat. With a big sigh, she settled back and looked down

“Hey, why do you always get annoyed when were together?” Chun asked calmly

“Why don’t you ask yourself?” came the irritated reply from Ella

“See? Do you know it takes 46 muscles to frown? You’ll get old if you keep doing that” he said jokingly

“Jerk” she replied “You haven’t changed one bit”

“It was a joke, calm down” he smiled

“How can I when you’re this annoying? You know what? Just don’t talk to me!” she leaned her head to the window so she can avoid talking to him

“You spoke first” he replied ‘She’s so cute when she’s angry’ he thought to himself while smiling

‘Sigh. Seriously! Where is he taking me?’ Ella thought while glaring. She kept quiet the whole time.

When the car came to a stop, she took a peek at the scenery before her eyes. “Beach” her eyes sparkled in delight. Ella immediately stooped down from the car and looked at the view. Chun followed her and clothed a  beach towel on her shoulders to keep her warm.

“Thanks” Ella smiled

“That’s suits you, smile more often. Like the old times” He smiled at her back

Ella laughed then she looked down at her heels “How am I supposed to walk with these?” she pointed

“Oh I almost forgot, here…” Chun handed a pair of slippers for her and a pair of swimming suit. “It was a bit awkward buying that in the department store but, I thought that it would be nice if you celebrated your birthday on the beach. Even if it’s late, Happy Birthday Ah Hua” He smiled shyly, he missed calling her Ah Hua

Ella stared at him, dumbstruck. “For my birthday?” she was so happy she could die. “Thankyou Chun!” she hugged him tightly. Chun was shocked but returned the hug anyway. Ella noticed what she had done and quickly broke the hug.

“We saw that!” a girl with a red swim suit shouted from a distance. “How touching!” a boy with blue swimming trunks also shouted

“Hebe? Aaron?” she shaded her eyes using her hands to block the sun. “It’s them! Hebe! Aaron!” she changed into her slippers. She ran and hugged them “What are you guys doing here?” Ella said enthusiastically “For your birthday of course! Belated Happy Birthday Ella” Hebe cupped Ella’s hands

“I’m sorry I couldn’t attend it, but that’s why we decided that we should celebrate it again!” Aaron said happily

“Ella, go change, you look weird! Who wears a dress to the beach?” Chun shouted while approaching

“Look who’s talking? You were the one who told me to get dressed. Why don’t you change as well? Suite and Tie to the beach? Hilarious!” Ella laughed fakingly

“Lover’s Quarrel!” The two lovebirds said

“SHUT UP!” Chun and Ella said in unison

“Ok, ok! Why don’t you two change and we’ll prepare for the picnic”

Ella and Chun made their way to the rest rooms. After 10 minutes they finally got out

“Hahaha! Red swimming trunks? GAY!” Ella teased

“Shut up! You were drooling at my well-toned abs. I saw it! Don’t you dare deny” Chun showed off

‘How did he know?’ Ella thought angrily “Whatever! And why did you buy me a one piece swimming suit? Why not like Hebe’s? Why not two-piece!?” she shouted angrily.

“Like you would suit it anyway!” Chun sticked out his tongue and ran off. ‘Truth is, I just don’t want you to show too much skin. I’m afraid that if I let you do so, someone will steal you away from me’ He thought

“You-!” Ella sighed but laughed at his silliness, she also made way to their chosen spot to start eating.

“Cheers!” they said while raising their glasses. They began to eat and talk, after they ate, all of them made their way to the beach and started swimming. Splashing, playing around with inflatable balls, Frisbees and water volleyball, the four had so much fun and laughed all throughout.

When they got tired, each of them got out of water and strolled around the beach. Ella was with Hebe while Chun was with Aaron.

“Thank you so much Hebe!” Ella said while smiling at her best friend

“For what?” Hebe said, confused

“For this, for the beach” Ella said with glee

“You shouldn’t thank me, you should thank the guy in the red swimming trunks” Hebe laughed

“Chun? No way! He clearly didn’t prepare all these for me! He was so rude on our way here” Ella angrily said while remembering the horrible ride.

“Haha, you sound like you don’t know him at all. Ella, you do know how playful he is right? Have you forgotten about the times when we were still young? He’s always been cheeky like this”

“Well, yeah…” came Ella’s short reply

“Did you know that he cooked everything for the picnic?” Hebe smiled “He prepared everything Ella, we were only invited”

“Huh?” Ella asked ‘Unbelievable, he never cooked for anyone before. He only cooked for himself’

“Yeah, the lasagne we ate? The cake? Everything that was on our picnic was all made by him. He had to ask your mum and dad for the recipe secretly so he wouldn’t get caught. Chun was originally going to be on the exact date of your birthday but something came up so he wasn’t able to” she explained

“Are you serious?” Ella’s eyes widened

“Positive! He worked his off since yesterday to prepare for this. He especially wanted to invite us because we hadn’t had our reunion for quite a while
