The next morning, nothing was getting better though. Sungjong’s parents kept glancing and gave a disgust look the whole time when they were having breakfast. Sungjong’s little brother, Sunkyu, couldn’t help it but sighed deeply with the unpleasant aura between them at the moment. He felt so bad for his hyung and secretly holding Sungjong’s hand under the dining table. Sunkyu wanted to make sure Sungjong got the message that whatever happens, he will be behind his brother, supporting him till no end.

The family met Gonam at the hospital’s parking lot before met Dr. Han. The young doctor led them to meet the specialist, Dr. Park. She was a lovely woman, soft spoken and always smiling. She was beautiful too, with her long straight silky hair tied up at the back. Sungjong noticed something. Both doctors were wearing the same rings on their fingers. So, they were couple, huh? Sungjong allowed himself a small smile with the thought.

It had been two hours since Dr. Park took lots of tests and two ultrasounds. Sungjong still sat on the edge of the bed while waiting for her. He prayed so hard that it was all a big prank. He couldn’t be pregnant.

The specialist finally walked in, with the family and Sungjong straightened up. Dr. Park looked over the clipboard for a couple of minutes, before sitting on her stool and confirming that Sungjong was, in fact, pregnant. Sungjong sighed in frustration. Sunkyu who was standing next to him wrapped his arm around Sungjong’s shoulder.

“I’ve been informed by your parents that you were having a twin sister who died when she was only a couple days old.” She stopped for a while. “She was born without uterus. It looks as though it grew inside of you instead of her. It’s a very rare situation for a male and female set of twins, but it’s possible.”

“So, you are saying I’m kinda absorb my twin sister and now having girl’s organ in me?” Sungjong asked carefully.

“It seems like that Sungjong. Basically you have both the male and female reproductive parts. Well, no offense but you somehow do looks like a girl. You’re so skinny and slender, with the noticeable curve and pretty face.” she smiled. Sungjong was silent for a moment as he soaked up the information. “Then why don’t I have.. umm like period and stuff?”

“When you hit puberty, your testosterone took over. Everything about you now is like any other boy of your age. We’re still unsure of the pathway travelled by the between and uterus, but it looks as though you have the ability to become pregnant. It will be extremely risky; we’ll have to put you on several medications and hormone pills, but you can have a normal baby like any woman-”

“What if I don’t want to keep it?”

“Hyung!” Sunkyu whispered with a tense tone heard in his voice.

“Sungjong, you know that was not an option right?” his mother said sternly.

“Doctor Park, you know who I am, right? Maybe it’s possible for a boy who absorbed his twin sister’s uterus and be pregnant but it’s impossible as for an idol, a member of a Korean boy band to be one,” Sungjong glared at the specialist before looking down at the floor.

Dr. Park cleared before said, “Abortion would be just as risky as keeping it, at this point. Since we're unsure of the pathway and arrangement of organs, we wouldn't be sure where to enter though without extensive testing that would lead far into the second trimester. We will need to test and figure out the course anyway for the birth, but it would be far too risky to rush things. Your best option is to try to carry this baby the full nine months and make a decision from there.”

Sungjong gulped. This was not supposed to happen. He couldn’t pregnant. That was it. If he had no choice but to keep the baby, it was the end for Sungjong. There was no way he will be singing and dancing with a huge bump belly. He will get kicked out from Infinite and lives a life like a normal person once again. Still, what people might think and say? Especially since he didn’t know who the father was.

“It will take a few lifestyle and diet changes, but we can work through this together, Sungjong,” Dr. Park said, trying to sound reassuring. “It's all going to be okay.” Sungjong just wanted to shout that no, it wasn't going to be okay, but he couldn't. He kept his composure as the specialist told him all his new restrictions to keep the baby safe – no contact sports, limited physical activity, vitamin supplements, four different prescriptions, and two doctor's visits a month.

In the car, they rode in silence most of the way. About halfway home, his mother spoke up, “Honey, why didn't you just tell me you were gay?”

“I didn't really know,” Sungjong said defensively.

"Well you must have known if you had  with a boy," she shot. “Have you been having for long?”
