So Happy I Could Die
Although remarkably humiliated for his standards, he tried his best to remedy the situation and explain his less than appealing attempt at impersonating a fictional, cartoon character to salvage his wounded pride.
Skin tinted in rosy hues, he flailed his arms needlessly towards his unexpected, befuddled audience member to disrupt her concentration of the previous demonstration.
Incredibly pained by the sight of her lips part in a breathy 'oh' as she further deduced his antics, he rasped, pleaded, "Minji-yah, I can explain!" His clear, well-spoken answer was slurred by the plight of his nerves, his mind wryly accepting that he had no excuse for the horrid imitation other than to hone his individual skill set for future variety programs.
Hoarsely dismissing the cold, hard truth of his bland personality, Jongin stammered his way into a terse silence, his heart unable to profess the inferiority he felt in regards to the rest of EXO when it came to broadcasts.
He was ashamed to admit that he was solely useful for dancing and that his slap-stick impression of a two-dimensional persona was the only other act he could hone to improve his image.
However, Minji personally witnessing the stunt was quite the blow to his already gaping ego.
Feeble apologies verged on vocalization, except she halted his sincere condolences, obscured by a gentle brush of her palm with the intent to stifle her rapturous laughter. "Would you-" Wobbly through the oncoming tears of mirth, she persisted and presented her simple request, "Would you please do that again?"
As she successfully thawed his frigid heart and insecurities, he had no choice other than to reply. Lightly, he inhaled, and an even, low, nasal tone gradually pierced the tranquil atmosphere.
"Eh, Spongebob."
A/N: I have a feelin' minji would be fond of the squidward impersonation omg
i will probably never let jongin live down that imitation
