One Way Love

Bleak, wan, his lips quivered under the beat of the silvery rain droplets, his heart increasingly erratic with each passing second. Brooding in wake of the impending decision, he remained rooted to the ground, his figure reclined against the backdrop of the window shop where they first greeted each other. 

A dark gaze settled on his incredibly doleful appearance and harsh tones spilled from a normally tight-lipped mouth that could not agree to permiss such a distant, dazed look on the usually calm, simpleton.  

"Jongin-."

Perhaps despondent and solemn to passing strangers, Jongin, however, was not without words for his loyal companion. "No." Gruff vocals strained to dismiss Kyungsoo's oncoming argument and tiresome logic.

The languid flicker of his irises upon the clock tower instructed him to wait and hold out just a little longer in spite of the less than appreciative weather conditions.

An hour and a half had passed since the ploy had begun and nature would not serve to disrupt him.

Hurling his sardonic statement, Kyungsoo sharply retorted, "It's ing pouring and you have a job to do tomorrow with the rest of us - you're an idol, so ing act like it."

But Jongin could not move, not yet. 

Any minute now...

Visibly heated by the obstinate, desperate, and pallid state Jongin was in, Kyungsoo snarled and resorted to the worst of his reasoning to provoke emotion and sense within his friend.

"She's not-."

Affronted by the implication, a slack-jawed Jongin smacked his group member with the dampened, crushed marigolds wedged in his grip - he didn't want to hear it. With each barbaric swipe at Kyungsoo, he realized he could not bear to hear the truth - he loved her dearly. 

Slightly wistful, mostly fatigued and ripe with a fever, Jongin collapsed on his confidante, his additional weight threatening to topple them both onto the streets. 

Tears obscured by the sheets of rain, he cried, "She's not going to come, is she?"

Her heart had never been his to take.

A/N: So, the gist of this was the Minji was being fought over by two boys, one of which was Jongin (and someone else not from EXO, lol), and after much hassling and annoyance, a deal was struck. The boys would be at different locations on the same day at the same time and she would go to the one she loved most. And the one in her heart failed to be Jongin.
