Kris POV

Kris sat together with Suho at the dining table. They were both talking about how their week had been going.

“Mhm….hey what time is it?” Suho suddenly asked

Kris looked at his watch “7:36 pm Why?” he looked up curiously

Suho suddenly stood up and squinted his eyes

-What’s he doing?-

“What are you doing?” he finally asked

“The shower’s still on” Suho replied, and Kris could hear surprise in his voice

“There’s someone else in the house? Didn’t the boys go to the movies?” Kris looked up at Suho curiously

“Kai stayed home, he didn’t want to go. You know since you two had that argument he kind of got distant all of a sudden. He doesn’t talk at all and he’s been skipping dinner” Suho looked at him awaiting a reply

-Oh God- he could feel himself tense up a bit, but tried to act as normal as possible

“What did you guys really talk about?” Suho suddenly asked

“I think it’s better if you go check on him” Kris offered as a way of distraction

Suho obeyed and got up walking upstairs to the bathroom which was located in the very back of the house.

-So he hasn’t said anything yet? - Kris sighted in relief. He knew that what he had done was horrible, but he just wouldn’t lose Suho. Not again…

There was one time when Kris had almost lost Suho completely. Not because of relationship problems, but because Suho had almost died once. When they were dating, Suho got into a car crash, and he almost didn’t make it. The crash had left Suho with several broken ribs, a broken leg, and several other fractures. Kris felt completely useless as he spent every single day at the hospital making sure that Suho was okay.

To his immense surprise, when Suho finally woke up after the drugs had worn off a bit, instead of crying he just smiled widely at Kris and thanked him for not leaving.

-But in the end I did leave-

Kris’s phone suddenly beeped, and he swiped the screen only to see a message from Narae.

“What the does she want?” Kris hissed under his breath

For a moment he hesitated whether to answer or not, but then he heard a scream coming from upstairs.

He dropped the phone instinctively and ran upstairs where he saw Suho frozen outside the bathroom.

-What happened? - Kris thought as he moved closer. He could see Suho’s shocked expression as he neared him.

“What happened?!” Kris asked once he was close enough, and he could see small blood splashes on the floor

“Kai…my baby…Kai” was all Suho managed to cry out before he fell down.

Kris wasn’t able to catch him on time, but once he kneeled down to hold Suho’s head, he peaked inside the bathroom and saw Kai.

His heart suddenly stopped, and he could feel a scream forming in his own throat. Quickly, he placed Suho carefully on the floor, and rushed to Kai’s side.

“Kai…Kai…” Kris said, his voice breaking

He carefully wrapped his arms around Kai and cuddled him.

“I’m so sorry…I’m so sorry Kai…I’m such a horrible person. I shouldn’t have done this…I shouldn’t have.” he began sobbing violently

Kris didn’t know what to do; he suddenly felt exactly how he had felt when Suho almost died, useless.

“…Dad…” Kris suddenly heard Kai say, and he looked down only to find Kai starring up at him weakly.

“Kai?...” Kris said in between sobs

“I’m scared.” Kai whispered

“Don’t be…don’t be” Kris said as he tried to sooth him

Kris knew he had to call an ambulance, but he had left his phone downstairs.

“Kai. Kai I have to call for help…I’ll be right back” Kris said as he tried to place the boy down carefully

“Don’t…” Kai whispered “Don’t go. Don’t leave me dad” he reached out to grab Kris’s arm

“I won’t be long” Kris said before running out to find his cell phone.

After calling the hospital, they told him help was on the way, and that he would have to wrap Kai’s wrists for the meanwhile to stop the bleeding.

Kris found some clean towels, and pressed down carefully to try and stop the bleeding.

Suho was still passed out, but Kris had made sure he was okay.

However his main concern was Kai, who kept struggling to stay awake.

“Don’t close your eyes” Kris begged him as he kept pressing the towels gently to Kai’s wrists

“I’m tired…” Kai choked out

“I know, but please just stay awake” Kris insisted

“Dad?”
“Yes?” Kris asked looking down

Kai was becoming paler and paler by the second, and Kris prayed that the ambulance would hurry up.

“Why did you stop loving mom?”

Kris bit his lower lip

“I didn’t…I’ve never stopped loving him”

“Then why did you cheat on him?”

“Kai please don’t ask..”

“I might die, and I don’t want to die without knowing why you did this” Kai looked at Kris directly in the eyes

“You’re not going to die” Kris whispered looking back at Kai

“I might”

“I don’t know why” Kris turned the other way trying to hide his shame

“Was it…was it because of us?...maybe because you two didn’t have any time for yourselves anymore?” Kai asked

Kris smiled sadly “No it isn’t because of you or your brothers. I just don’t think there’s any excuse for what I did” he breathed out

Kai smiled weakly, and it reminded Kris of the time Suho had smiled at him even though he was in a lot of pain.

“I can’t stay awake”

“No..No Kai look at me” Kris held Kai’s face in between his hands as he tried desperately to keep him awake “You can do it…Just stay awake a little longer”

“I don’t want to” Kai said suddenly catching Kris by surprise

“What?” he asked his eyes wide

“I don’t want to stay awake. It hurts”

Kris stared at his son before letting a few tears that were caught up fall down.

“I’m sorry” he whispered

“Why?” Kai asked surprised

“I probably caused you more pain than how your wrists hurt right now didn’t I?”

“It’s nothing compared…nothing at all…to when mom finds out the truth. Have you imagined how much it’s going to hurt him? Have you?” Kai said with a hint of anger

“I don’t want to imagine” Kris choked out as a lump began forming in his throat.

The truth was that he didn’t want to imagine, in fact he’d rather just never find out. Even if it was a cowardly way to think, Kris just couldn’t dare think how much pain there would be in Suho’s usually cheerful self once he found out the truth, and he would find out sooner than Kris expected.

Suho POV

There was a numb feeling in Suho’s arm, and his head felt extremely light as he opened his eyes.

A feeling of overwhelm overcame him once he managed to wake up completely.

“Where?...” he placed a hand on his head as he tried to concentrate

“Mom!” he suddenly heard Luhan’s voice coming from besides him

“Lulu?” Suho turned around and saw Luhan starring at him with concern

“What’s wrong?” he asked surprised once he noticed that Xiumin, Chanyeol, and Tao were also there.

“You don’t remember?” Tao asked

“Remember what?” Suho could feel panic rising from inside

The boys looked at each other for a moment

“We’re at the hospital” Xiumin said before turning to look at Chanyeol

“You fainted because Kai…” Chanyeol trailed off

-Kai? - Suho tried to remember, but all he saw were red splotches on the floor.

“What happened to Kai?”

“He tried to…he tried to kill himself” Luhan managed to say

Suho suddenly remembered the horrid scene, the blood puddle and his baby lying on the floor unconscious.

“Kai!” Suho screamed as he tried to get out of the bed, but was held back by Tao and Chanyeol

“Wait, wait mom” Luhan begged

“He’s alright, dad managed to bring you both to the hospital. The rest are with him right now” Xiumin blurted out

“I want to see him” Suho demanded they take him there, but they all shook their heads.

“Rest for today, and tomorrow we’ll take you” they all agreed

“We’ll be leaving now so we can go visit Kai, but we’ll let dad know to come on over here so you won’t stay alone” Chanyeol walked towards the door, and the rest followed him

Suho saw them open the door, and then heard Chanyeol let out a happy sigh

“Hey!” Chanyeol said

“Hello, I hope I’m not bothering”

Suho heard an unfamiliar voice, and he tried to see who it might be

“No not at all, but we were just leaving to see Kai” Luhan said

“Oh…well actually I’m here to see your mom, and afterwards I’ll go check on Kai”

“Uh sure” Suho heard Ximuin say

All four boys left, and Suho heard the door close behind them.

“Hello good morning” A tall brown haired girl smiled warmly at Suho “I brought you these flowers” she said placing them near the bed

“Ah thank you…you must be…Park Narae correct?” Suho smiled back

The girl moved a loose strand of hair from her face, and nodded.

“Yes that’s me”

“Well thank you so much for visiting” Suho replied “Are you going to visit Kai?” he asked curiously

“Actually…I came here to see you” she said, her smile suddenly disappearing

“Oh…why?” Suho asked wondering why she possibly would want to see him

“I wanted to talk to you about your husband” She said, and her smile suddenly returned, but this time it seemed more like a grin.
