Chapter 3: Alone

The next morning, Sulli woke up in a good mood. She still has a hangover from what happened last night. She decided to have a morning jogging before eating breakfast, after all it’s her habit every time she stays in King Towers. She put on her jacket and went out, then she noticed a little note sticked to her door saying

“Having breakfast alone can make you feel lonely, if you’re free, I’ll join you for breakfast at the café. By the way here’s my number *********************”

She decided to go to the café instead of jogging ALONE. She was confused either, her feet just led her down to the café. She arrived and saw Minho waiting for her.

“You didn’t text me that you’ll come” he said as he stood up from his seat, holding his phone probably waiting for her text.

“No need to bother someone if I can just go straight here right?” she said

“I see, but wait did you ride the elevator alone?” he asked

“No, fortunately, the floor housekeeper was inside too, so I didn’t have to ride it alone” she said

“That’s a relief then. What do you want for breakfast by the way?” he asked

“Anything, just let me treat you. Order anything you want” she said and he just nodded then he went straight to the counter

After placing the orders, Minho went back to their table to have some chit chats with Sulli.

“Did you sleep well last night?” he asked

“Yeah, how about you?” she asked too

“I did. Now, let’s play a game, asking questions to each other perhaps?” he said

“GAME!” she answered

They started the game while waiting for their order. Being a gentleman, Minho let Sulli to start.

“I heard about you and what’s with your past that made you change?” she asked, Minho’s face became serious, he didn’t expect such question from her while Sulli sensed the rapid change in Minho’s face, obviously he looked pissed.

“Let’s end this game here and just wait for our order. This would just lead to something useless.” He said avoiding eye contact with hers, cold face activated.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring up that question. I just thought that I can understand or help you since I’ve had a miserable past too.” She said almost crying, Minho felt it, he was guilty of saying those things, because she just wanted to help.

“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean those words---“ he said as Sulli caught him from explaining “I understand you, but promise me you’ll share it. You know battling between those experiences ALONE is dangerous and would make you feel lonely. Remember, I’m here by your side…. Always… “ she said

“I promise, I will, if I’m ready. Thank you for being there for me.” he said now smiling. Just then their order arrived, a seafood green onion pancake and a caramel macchiato. They ate their breakfast, the food was great and she liked it. While eating they talked about some stuffs like school.

“Tomorrow is the first day of school. Today’s the last day we can be free from homeworks, tests and everything from school! What would you like to do?” he asked sipping from his caramel macchiato.

“I don’t know. What would you suggest?” she asked

“Hmmm, since we haven’t tour around N Seoul Tower last night that much, why not go sightseeing?” he  said

“You want to go sightseeing with me?” she asked in confusion from her own words, Minho realized what he just said and thought of a good excuse to avoid this awkward moment but then Sulli talked again “Well, I’m free today. Why not?” she said smiling, he just smiled back. He felt a little relieved hearing that actually.

Minho went back to his room to change and freshen up, he put on some casual clothes then went up to the 11th floor and waited outside the elevator since he didn't ask for Sulli's room number. 

Sulli was done changing and all, she put on her baby scent perfume and her black sneakers going along with her brown capri pants and red tshirt, a casual outfit indeed. She then went straight outside and was shocked to see Minho waiting outside the elevator.

“You’ve been waiting for me?” she asked in shock and confusion

“Not that long though, I just thought that maybe you would ride the elevator again” he said that made Sulli burst into a cute laughter.

They went to Myeong-dong and went window shopping from the luxury brand shops to simple souvenir shops. They used their spare time to buy some stuffs for school like notebooks, ballpens, backpacks and all.

Onew, Taemin and Jonghyun,they were bestfriends since middle school even though Onew was their sunbae. They went out to have some bonding with each other since tomorrow would be Taemin and Jonghyun’s first day of back to school and surely they would have a busy schedule all throughout the school year.
