Chapter 20: It Takes Time

Tonight’s movie date was amazing, no more awkwardness and tension can be felt. Each of them immersed themselves into the romantic lines and scenes from the movie.

The girls decided to sleep on Sulli’s bedroom and the boys would sleep on Taemin’s room. It was actually a shock for both Taemin and Minho because they can’t believe Jonghyun would join them, knowing there’s something between the three.

“Jonghyun-hyung, are you really going to sleep here?” Minho hesitated

Jonghyun nodded, he seems so strange but different now “Yeah, I have something to tell you guys too” The two dongsaengs suddenly got curious.

Inside the girl’s bedroom, the three, as usual had some girl talks, and some catching ups.

Taeyeon who noticed Sulli and Minho’s closeness as well as Taemin and Krystal’s interrogated the younger girls “So, Ssul, Soojungie, how’s your love life? It seems blooming” she said in more of a tease. The two felt shy and their cheeks turned crimson red.

“Unnie” both of them said because of embarrassment.

Taeyeon can’t help but laugh at them, they’ve totally grown up already “What? Can’t I ask?”

Sulli spoke first “Soojung’s love life is indeed blossoming but not mine” she said trying to play safe

Krystal got annoyed with Sulli so she back “Actually Sulli’s love life is more blossoming. Unnie, have you seen them a while ago while watching the movie? It’s as if they were the only ones in there! I bet if they’re the only ones in there, they might----“ Sulli interrupted her “YAH JUNG SOO JUNG YOU AND YOUR MALICIOUS MIND!” she shouted and threw a pillow straight on her face

“You girls bicker like Tom and Jerry, seriously? But I guess I know now, you don’t need to answer about your own prince charmings” Taeyeon smirked, the three of them continued teasing each other until it reached to the ever so famous Pillow Fighting.

Sulli and Krystal decided to ask Taeyeon about earlier carefully because they clearly know how hard she’s been struggling the past years. Taeyeon noticed how their eyes conveyed messages to each other “What’s that all about? You have something to say?”

They both took a breath to ask her, although it was kind of invading her privacy, they were dead curious to really know the real score between them and so Krystal started “Unnie....about earlier...we noticed how close you were with him...not mentioning....the past you shared” Sulli then added “Do you want to start over again?” and it put Taeyeon into the hot seat where she needs to think critically and answer them reasonably.

“If two persons are meant to be, they would find their way. It only takes time to know if you really are destined to be with someone. And I guess for our case, it takes time. Wounds from the past aren’t easily cured and nothing or no one can treat it but time” she said  

Jonghyun started “Actually....” he cleared his throat and continued “Minho...” that startled Minho

 “Minho...I know you like my sister...our sister...” Minho’s eyes widen, his throat suddenly went dry after hearing him.

“I’m so sorry” Jonghyun said “I know, you know I liked her before... but I lied to you, myself and Taemin.”

Taemin asked him this time “Hyung? What do you mean?” he asked confused.

He took a deep breath before explaining “I don’t like Sulli. I wouldn’t like my sister ever..... I was just not in the right mind that time, I thought I like her, but I was wrong. ....Perhaps because she was the only girl I am with on my toughest times and I was mistaken that I finally saw her as a woman..... I know it was weird. But I regret telling her unconscious body in that hospital bed that I liked her. ....Truth is, I haven’t move on .....from my past yet.” the two guys in front of him felt how miserable he’s been through and they totally understand him.

The two really got shocked of what he’s saying, he’s saying he doesn’t like Sulli and that means the tension between them vanished even before or exactly it really didn’t existed.

“So, hyung, you mean you just lied before?” asked Taemin and Jonghyun nodded in response.

Jonghyun patted Minho’s back “That means, you have her now. I can see that you love her. And all I can advice you is to take care of her and your friendship, whatever the circumstances are, you should be willing to fight for her and the both of you no matter what” he said

Minho can’t believe it, he’s like getting an approval from her brother and these happenings are too fast for him to sink in. Taemin can’t help but feel touched with his hyung’s words, how he loves a scenic view of his hyungs making up their friendship.

“Take good care of our Princess, okay?” Taemin said as he joined the group hug shared by Jonghyun and Minho.

One week later, Minho already finished the soccer try-outs last Friday and he’s just waiting for the results to be posted today. Krystal was paired with her sunbae, Minhyuk and some more professionals in the field. On the other hand, Sulli can’t be at ease today, knowin
