The night has come and Seohyun was alone in her house. She was on her balcony, watching the sky filled with shining stars. Smiling, she closed her eyes inhaling the night air.

The cold night wind blew her silk nightgown softly as she stared at her cell phone. Her thumb scrolled down the contact lists and stopped when it showed a particular name of a person she loves and misses. She waited patiently for the person in the other line to pick up her call when it finally did, she smiled widely.

“Grandpa!” she beamed happily, earning a chuckle from the old man.

Seohyun’s eyes began to fill with tears when she heard her grandpa’s voice. She missed him so much and she wanted to see his face. The face of his grandpa who always loves her and filled the spot as her parents.

“Grandpa. I miss you” her voice quavered as she said the words. 

“Don’t cry” her grandpa said, trying to stop his granddaughter from crying. But, he was feeling the same as her. He always missed the girl since she move to Seoul. He missed her nags and her presence in the house. He couldn’t help but to feel empty without his only granddaughter.

Seohyun wiped her tears, “Grandpa. Have you eaten? Don’t skipped meals. Did you receive the medicine I sent for you? Grandpa, don’t do heavy work, okay? Make sure to rest-

“Don’t worry. I know how to take care of myself, little kid. I’ve been living in this world long enough than you” her grandpa cut her words and chuckled. His granddaughter was always concerns about his health.

 “I’m not a little kid anymore. Stop calling me that” she nagged. 

The conversation between the grandpa and the granddaughter continued as the bright girl told him about her life in school. 

“Seohyun, come on. Luhan’s team will be playing in a few minutes.

“Oh, okay!” Seohyun followed Nicole as they went out from the hall where she gonna performed later. Almost all students and visitors have been around the field to watch the soccer match. Seohyun couldn’t help but to feel happy because she will be seeing him playing in a real game.

“Girls, here!” Lay called for them from the viewer seats. Hurriedly, they went to him.

Seohyun’s eyes were searching for him. Seconds later, she saw him with his teammates. As a team captain, he looks so serious and yet so calm when he talk to his teammates. 

Her eyes kept on watching him until he looked back at her. She blushed upon realizing he was looking at her and hardly flashed a small smile.

“Hwaiting” she showed the hwaiting sign using her fist while muttering the word softly. Even though he couldn’t hear it.

She watched as his team went inside the field while giving supporting words to each other. She’s nervous and it’s not like she was the one who will be playing in the game.

The whistle has been blown. The audiences started cheering for the team they supported and of course Seohyun is on her partner’s side. She’s rooting for his team.

“Go, Luhan!” Lay cheered for his best friend and Nicole joined in. 

Meanwhile, Seohyun was just sitting beside them with hands clasping together. Her eyes sparkling seeing every move he made. The way he ran for the ball, the way he passed the ball calmly and the way he ruffled his hair were enough to make her fall for him more.

The match went smoothly but without any goal being made by both teams until the football commentator spoke through his microphone with loud voice.

"O-oh! Player with jersey no.7 has the ball now! And he's the captain for the team!"

Everyone stood up from their seat and eyes following his movement. Luhan made his way to the goal post with the ball, easily breaking through the other players’ distraction.

"Will he be able to scores the first goal for his team?"

 Seohyun screamed his name in her mind. She closed her eyes with hands clasping together, praying for him. Luhan kicked the ball, his sharp eyes eyeing the goal post and,

"GOAL!!!!!" Seohyun opened her eyes as the commentator's voice echoed the whole place. She jumped excitedly and hugged Nicole who was in the middle of screaming joyfully with the dimple guy.

“He scores!” she screamed. The whole place was filled with celebrating noise, with the audience singing the team’s theme song. “Daebak” Seohyun watched him with a proud smile as he was giving high-fived to his teammates with a smirk.

“Relax, I know you can do well” Nicole assured the girl who was sitting beside her. She was in the backstage, accompanying Seohyun. Music Club’s performance has just started 50 minutes after the soccer match with Luhan’s team winning the game. It was an exciting match.

“Now, what’s with the pout?” Nicole poked Seohyun’s cheek as she saw the bright girl pouting her lips.

“I still haven’t met him, and I haven’t congratulate him yet” 

“And I’m not sure, if he will watch my performance later” Seohyun stated, playing with her white skirts. She was a bit sad because just after the soccer match ended, she was asked to go to the hall already to prepare for the performance. She didn’t even have the chance to meet Luhan and congratulate him.

Nicole chuckled. “I don’t know you love him that much. You should have just telling him your true feelings. And don’t worry, I’m sure he will come here to watch you” Seohyun just smiled shyly and that’s when Lay appeared in front of them, asking her if she’s ready because their duet performance will start anytime soon. Seohyun nodded. Lay has done his dancing performance which was as the opening and the girls were fangirling over him. Well, everyone knew how amazing and talented he is in dancing.

After a while of waiting, finally their music teacher came, telling them that it was their turn already. Nicole stood up with them and started to fix Seohyun’s hair and her light pink dress. She then placed both her palms against Seohyun’s cheeks, and tapped them softly.

“Seohyun-ah, jeongshin charyeo (get a hold of yourself) she said as if telling her to not feel nervous. 

“What the-” Seohyun laughed at her, silently thanking the god for having such caring people around her. 

“Hwaiting!!”Nicole said the supporting word as Seohyun and Lay were ready to go up the stage. Seohyun took a deep breath and then gave a signal to Lay, telling she was ready for it. She was actually a bit nervous because this will be her first performance in the school since she transferred so the atmosphere was a bit different. The two of them stepped on the stage and bow to the audiences before going to their respective side. As she sat on the chair, Seohyun’s eyes couldn’t help but to search for Luhan among the audiences. However, to her disappointment, he was not there to watch her performance. Even though she was a bit sad, she needed to focus on the piano. 

Giving a smile to the audiences, her fingers then started to press the key. The sounds coming from the piano was so beautiful as her fingers elegantly pressed every key calmly. They were performing to the song ‘Falling Slowly’ which is known as an OST of the movie ‘Once’. The sounds of piano being played by Seohyun slowly mixed well with the sound coming from the guitar which played by Lay. The harmony between the two instruments was amazing as the audiences giving their full attention to the stage.

Taking a deep breath, Seohyun started to sing the lyrics. Her soft and beautiful voice echoed the whole hall.

As she sang those two lines of lyrics, she couldn’t help but to reminisce the day when she first met Luhan. For her, the first time she met him was so precious. She doesn’t know him at that moment, but she did felt the feeling of wanting to know him.
