Soul StringsShe wished for her gift to go away. Ever since her appa brought her to work that fateful day years ago, things changed. The change wasn’t sudden. It was gradual. She became distant of her father and he began to go on business trips far too often. There weren’t any fights in the house but there was a lot of silence when he came home. Gone were the days of liveliness that she remembered from her childhood.
Her parents no longer flirted with each other and it seemed as if they just tolerated one another. Jessica wished she never knew of the strings. Perhaps she would have been like Krystal who was never aware of the subtle changes in their parents’ lives. Krystal was oblivious to it all. She wished she was ignorant like her. Afterall, ignorance was bliss.
No one else knew of her father’s affair with his co-worker. No one but Jessica. That’s why it came as no surprise to her when her father left them with nothing but divorce papers to be signed.

I KNOW, I KNOW. It's short [it's the second shortest part I'll be posting fyi]. But there are some parts that are short and I apologize for that. This chapter/part is very essential to the plot. And yeah, so maybe you have to wait a week before the next part but I promise the next part will be longer. As a matter of fact, it's actually the longest part in the whole one-shot. ^^
