The red string was hard to ignore for Taeyeon. It was always there. It taunted Taeyeon. Warned Taeyeon. After every make out session with her girlfriend, the red string always felt just a bit tighter. She tried to get rid of it. Scissors, knives, matches, and lighters.

It began to consume her life and it wasn’t like she could tell anyone about it. She had already concluded no one can see it, it embarrassed her the first time she asked Sunny about it. Then she began to research about the red string. It led her down the path of fate and destiny. It took over her life and it was all she could think about. This left her girlfriend neglected.

After some time, Taeyeon broke it off with Sunny and though it was embarrassing for her to say, she set her life to finding her soul mate. After college, she received a job offer in Seoul and accepted it when she felt a tug on her left pinky.
