Chapter XIII

AUTHOR’S POV

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the sky was clear as it could be.

 

Until she saw him, her ex-boyfriend waiting outside her school. Mia’s face turned into a frown as she saw him dismiss all the fangirls that were surrounding him, looking like he was waiting for her.

 

Mia was no ditz. She knew he was waiting for him, well more because of the text he sent her earlier that day during class.

 

I’ll be waiting out SM, for you. We need to talk.

 

Mia was initially planning on avoiding for about, the rest of time, but I guess fate likes to mess with her plans. Like all the time.

 

Mia let out a sigh as she walked over, clutching onto her bag strap tighter as she approached him. She saw him look up, and she could tell he looked happy. TOP may be a stoic bastard, but she knew Seunghyun was happy as he could be when he saw her.

 

    “Shall we go?” Seunghyun asked looking at her with his deep monotone voice, well Mia really could not see his eyes because he was wearing sunglasses but she could tell he was looking at her and only her.

 

Mia let out a reluctant nod and Seunghyun started walking. Mia could feel the fangirls eyes boring holes into her skull and all over her body. I mean who wouldn’t? She was friends with all of EXO, although they hated each other, her brother is Siwon and all of Super Junior is like her brothers, and now she’s hanging out with TOP, one of the most sought out K-Pop artists of all time? Even Mia would hate herself if she was a fangirl.

 

Seunghyun led her to a van, opening the back door for her and Mia got in. She had a feeling knowing where she was going but did not bother to ask. TOP got into the drivers seat and saw Jiyong staring at her.

 

    “So, you have some explaining to do Mia.” Jiyong simply stated. She looked at the Passenger seat and saw Daesung look at her with sorry eyes. She turned around and saw Taeyang and Seungri sitting in the back, leaning forward.

 

    “Why do you need an explanation?” Mia asked as she crossed her arms in a defensive manner with a frown as soon as Seunghyun started the van and drove off.

 

    “Because, we’re your family, whether you like it or not.” Jiyong stated with his voice as monotone as could be. Mia was no fool though, she knew he was right and saying it in a monotone voice to her, she knew he was hurting inside.

 

Jiyong was always a man who had life in his voice. You could tell when he was happy, when he was being playful, when he was mad. But, his monotone voice meant he was trying to control his deepest emotions. His deepest emotions of fear, hurt and betrayal. Mia felt a pinch to her heart knowing she was the cause of his pain.

 

    “Jiyong. Look, there is no explaining to do. It was my choice to apply for SM.” Mia let out with a puff.

 

    “But you know, YG didn’t accept you because you were some random kid he taken a liking to because you were our friend. He may have saw you as his own daughter, but he gave you that acceptance because you were talented Mia.” Jiyong explained as he ran a hair through his hair. She knew he only did it when he was frustrated. Like he was ready to pull out all his hair from his head frustrated. She could tell by the way he ran his hand through his hair, and the firm grip he had on his hair.

 

    “I don’t care. I got into SM, and that is my final decision. I also wanted to be closer with Siwon Oppa, you know how I could never see him when I was at YG! He couldn’t even acknowledge me!” Mia exclaimed finally letting out some steam.

 

    “You always saw him at home didn’t you? You were the one who chose YG over Siwon the whole time! Just because Seunghyun was a at that time, and still is, it does NOT give you the excuse to ignore all of us!” Jiyong finally stated as tears pooled in his eyes.

 

Mia grew silent. She knew Jiyong took her loss the hardest. Jiyong was the one who always cared for her, made sure she was safe, she ate more, made sure she was never cold. She went to him with all her problems, he comforted her when she was down. Jiyong was like her mother. Jiyong was the mother that was around, and not the mother that was constantly working.

 

    “Jiyong... I, I’m so sorry... It was irrational, but I needed to turn a new leaf.” Mia broke down as tears streamed down her face. She felt the car stop, a seat unbuckle and arms around her.

 

    “Mia, I forgive you, but all I want is an explanation... we all do.” Jiyong comforted her as she cried into his chest. Jiyong eyed Seunghyun to leave and he left the car and all that was inside was himself, Mia, Daesung, Taeyang and Seungri.

 

    “My mother died in a car crash, the day I saw Seunghyun was inside the bar... I just fell into depression.” Mia said in between her sobs. “Siwon said it was a better idea if we stayed together. YG found out what happened, because you know how my Mom was close with YG, so I had a meeting with him, Siwon was there. He explained if I stayed with him. That’s why YG let me go and be at SM.”

 

Jiyong’s heart broke. If only he knew. He could have been there to comfort her, to be there for her through the tough times of her life. Probably the hardest time of her whole life.

 

“Noona, it’s okay. Well, we’re here for you now. All of us. Seunghyun hyung included. I personally don’t care if you’re a part of SM, just, don’t leave us again, please?” Seungri asked. Mia turned around and nodded at Seungri.

 

“I won’t. I promise my little panda.” Mia smiled as tears ran down her face. Her eyes were in crescents as she looked at Seungri. Seungri beamed as literally jumped out of his seat and jumped into her lap, giving Mia biggest panda hug she could ever imagine.

 

“Noona...” He said as he embraced Mia.

 

Mia looked at Seungri and she made this promise, and crossed her heart and and hoped to die. She would treasure this promise as long as she could remember. Seeing her family like this, she knew she could never leave them. Not her original family.

This chapter is filler-ish + background on Mia and Big Bang. I was planning on making this a short series, with this story, a prequel about Mia's life with Big Bang and a sequel. Those are now in question because I don't have as much time as before. I was going to call this short series “Wolf” . I mean, it is kind of unoriginal, but mine has nothing to do with them being wolves so it’s original in that sense . It's just that the titles of the stories are going to be the English translations of that song (since that's the Era that pulled me into EXO~)

 

and sorry for the rather, lack of updates. I have not abandoned this story.
