Chapter I

Scent of Cheese and Wine

Chapter I

MIA’S POV

I walked along the stone path leading up to two open gates that held the doors to my future career. As I walked through the front gates of the school, a gulp of fear crawled up my throat when my eyes laid upon the grandiose school.

The lush neat, freshly, mowed front lawn filled with trees that were cut and primed to the finest extent. I tried to swallow my fear as I walked up the grand staircase that lead up to the intimidating, large wooden doors that were currently open. An abundance of students were talking and sitting along the staircase, and some walked through the front doors into the school, as they passed by as they went on with their life. When I entered the doors I went straight to the principal's office and got my class schedule and everything else I needed to survive at SM Private Institution.

SM Private Institution is one the top music school for students along with YG and JYP Private School. All of them already have groups made and singers singing for their company. SM isn't just a private institution,  it is also a record labeling company. When you reach your senior year for a normal high school and able to graduate, you move onto the record company. I was here because I wanted to become a professional music composer with a minor in dancing, since I love dancing.

Today was my first day of class and I was such a nervous wreck. I woke up two hours early to get ready for my first day of school of the new year. It was slightly cold because it was early March, since that is when school started in Korea, and not the typical August like how it does in the Western areas of the world. My white gloves and cream colored scarf contrasted well against the gray uniforms.

I looked at my class schedule and tried to find the classroom. I took a right down a dim hallway. In all honesty, the hallway looked abandoned. I heard music playing behind a set of double doors, and walked inside what looked like an abandoned room, but I was horribly wrong. It was a grand auditorium. I took a step inside and someone was singing.

It was a beautiful melody in my ears. I hid myself in the lounge-like red velvet seats that lined the audience part of the auditorium. He finished the song and as it slowly rounded the sound inside.

“I know you're here.” the person said and I shot up out of my seat and looked at him wide-eyed. An angel that was sent from above was looking right at me. His voice serenading me although he seemed irritated.

His blond hair was messy, in a stylish way. His school uniform was left ed as it showed his white-collared shirt underneath with his black & white high-tops, and his loosened tie to match with his to-cool-for-school style.

“I'm so sorry. I got lost. Then I heard a piano piece playing and was just drawn to it.” I rambled on with a blush of embarrassment established well on my cheeks.

“You play?” He asked as he tilted his head towards the piano and I slowly nodded. A small smirk appeared and I just could not help but stare at his beautiful face. His doe-like features were putting me under a spell. “Get up here and play it perfect then I'll let you go.” He said.

Man, he might have looks of an angel but his attitude seems like he came through the cracks of hell. I still thought he was attractive though; man I sound so shallow now.

“Okay.” I said with a small smile, trying to hide the nerves that were surging through my body. I walked up to the stage making my way to the grand piano and took a sat. I opened it up the cover of the keys and examined it first before cracking my fingers as well as my neck. “Ready?” I asked and he nodded in response.

“Great. I'll give you the four bars of introduction before I begin.” I smiled brightly and began to play the introduction of his song.

It was like I was possessed as the music became the control of my body. My blood turned into music as well as my oxygen. He just stared at me in amazement and started singing. This time around I couldn't focus on the singing because all I heard was music, all I saw was black and white notes dancing across my vision. I finished the song sweetly and a smile came across my face. I looked up at him and he looked like he was in shock. As if a paralyzed person just got up to walk saying he needed to go somewhere important and walked away.

“Was I that terrible?!” I gasped as fear took over my body. I did not want to disappoint this angel like devil in front of me. Especially since I did eavesdrop on his singing.

“That was better than the recording.” He said with a smile that graced his lips. The angel looked like he genuinely meant it. He gave that kind of smile that reaches into your eyes to show the sincerity, and not those fake smiles that people now days give you.

It was a real, genuine and sincere smile.

“Oh. Um. Thank you.” I sheepishly thanked lowering my head a bit.

“Let's go class.” He said as he held out his hand. I looked at it like it was a foreign object but his eyes urged me to grab it so I did. His hands were big and comforting compared to my small, yet long petite hands. He led me out of the auditorium and down a hall. He stopped and turned towards me, still holding my hand. “What's your class?” He asked and I gave him my schedule from my bag. He took it as he looked at the schedule like he had to memorize it.

“Your first class is going to end soon. I'll just show you your next class.” He said with a smile handing it back to me.

“Thank you.” I smiled as he still held my hand. His grip was gentle yet firm. An angel was holding my hand, even though he was a bit stingy at first. He still looked like an angel to me. He led me down the hall and up the stairs to a classroom. He stopped outside and looked at me.

“This is it.” He said with a smile as he looked directly at me. It was that same genuine smile he showed me earlier, but this was a more of a gentle smile compared to before.

“Thanks a bunch. You've done so much for me.” I said and bowed. “I'm going inside. I'll see you.” I said and was about to walk in but he grabbed my wrist, but I did not turn around.

“Name.” he said looking at the back of my figure.

“Mia.” I answered and he let go, my wrist suddenly felt cold. I turned around our eyes instantly made contact, as if no matter what, our eyes would always find each other.

“I'm Luhan, remember it.” He said and walked off with his hands in his pocket. His walk looked more casual than him looking like he needed to rush to class.

“Luhan.” I repeated for myself as a gentle smile appeared on my face and walked into class.

First chapter! Woohoo!

The auditorium i just described Carnegie hall. Yeah. I modeled it after Carnegie (of course this one is a bit worse than Carnegie because Carnegie is perfect lol. Oh Carnegie Hall is like THEEEEE best auditorium in the world. Like seriously. You can’t beat it. When you perform it, it’s like you know you freaking made it. I was invited to play (along with my whole band) and omg. Silence was such a wonderful sound to my ear <3
