BONUS CHAPTER

MEETING THE PARENTS

Siwon pulled his bag from the carousel when he saw it.

“Just one bag?” asked Hannah

“Yeah.” Said Siwon

They just arrived at Hannah’s home country and Siwon is excited….and nervous!

“It’s not your first time here, right?” asked Hannah

“Yeah, I’ve been here a couple of times for concerts.” Said Siwon

Hannah saw her bag.

“There’s mine.” Said Hannah

But Siwon was faster than her and grabbed her bag.

“That’s heavy.” Said Siwon

“I packed it with everything I think my family would love from Korea.” Said Hannah

“Oh…actually…I also bought some stuff…I am not sure if they will like it.” Said Siwon

“My family will appreciate them no matter what they are.” Said Hannah

Siwon found a cart and put both their luggage on it.

“Did they arrange a car for us?” asked Siwon

“Oh, my brother is waiting for us.” Said Hannah “He brought a van.”

“Oh…” So the first relative he’ll meet is Hannah’s brother. Hannah mentioned she’s close with her only brother.

Siwon pushed the cart as they went from immigration to customs. It was smooth since Hannah is so used to travelling to the country.

When they were in the gate a big crowd of people were waiting for them with banners…Fans…they are all shouting and screaming when they came out.

Siwon waved a little and Hannah did the same.

“Oh, that’s my brother.” Said Hannah

Siwon saw a tall young man walking to them. He’s quite a good looking man…makes you think that beauty really runs in their genes.

Hannah excitedly walked towards her brother and hugged him tightly as if not seeing him for a decade. Siwon raised his brows.

“I miss you soooo much!” said Hannah in english

The brother just tapped Hannah’s back and tried to push Hannah away embarrassed by all the people staring at them.

“Oh sorry…I forgot you are no longer a baby.” Teased Hannah

The brother gave Hannah an irritated look making Hannah laugh.

“Oh, right, introductions. Gulf, this is Siwon…my husband.” Said Hannah in english

 “Oppa, this is Gulf my brother.” Said Hannah in Korean

“Hi…nice meeting you.” Said Siwon practicing his English extending his hand.

Gulf accepted Siwon’s hand in a shake smiling and nodding.

“Did you have a good flight?” asked Gulf shyly…obviously Hannah’s brother is not used to the cameras and the attention of hundreds of fans in the airport.

“Yeah, it was very good.” Said Siwon

“Great. Umm…are you hungry? We can eat first then take the van home.” Said Gulf

“Actually, we just had a meal on the plane.” Said Hannah

Siwon nodded. “We’re not yet hungry.”

“All right, let’s go back home then.” Said Gulf leading both of them to the car helping out with their luggages.

Gulf took the seat beside the driver while Hannah and Siwon took the seat behind them.

“The weather is good.” Said Siwon just trying his English phrases.

“Yeah…” said Hannah “You’ll love the view since it’s sunny.”

Siwon nodded. His nervousness getting more and more severe. He just met Hannah’s brother…but there are others too…

Hannah giggled.

“Why?” asked Siwon in Korean

“You…don’t look comfortable?” said Hannah in Korean

“I’m a bit anxious.” Said Siwon

“Don’t worry, Oppa. I have very few relatives in my province…most of my relatives are overseas.” Said Hannah

Hannah then talked to her brother in their native tongue.

“Gulf said only my Father, Mother, Greatgrandmother, my Dad’s Aunt and her family are there.” Said Hannah

Siwon counted them…

“Around 10 more people” said Hannah

10 more…

“Did you also feel anxious when you met my family?” asked Siwon

“Very…I was especially afraid to meet your Mom…remember all the in law stories?” asked Hannah

“So who do I need to be cautious of?” asked Siwon

“Hmm….everyone will be nice to you so don’t worry.” Said Hannah

Even without Hannah telling him…he is already anxious about meeting Hannah’s Dad…

Siwon took a deep breath and then looked outside…Hannah is right…the view is indeed nice…

Siwon and Hannah arrived at Hannah’s family home.

“It’s quiet new… it was only completed a few months ago.” Said Hannah

Siwon and Hannah entered through the gate where Hannah’s Mom and Dad were already waiting.

Hannah hugged them both tightly.

“This is Siwon my husband.” Said Hannah

Hannah’s Mom looked shy. She just smiled at Siwon. Hannah’s Dad however has that stern look in his face making Siwon more anxious than he already is.

“Dad, stop acting like a strict Dad.” Said Hannah in her native tongue

“I can’t show him that I’m a lenient father either.” Said Hannah’s Dad.
