Chapter 3

Siwon is laughing.

“You can’t get over it yet?” asked Donghae

“That was the best variety show ever.” Said Siwon “The funniest variety show ever! I was suppressing a laugh all the time!”

Donghae poured soju.

“You only saw half of it.” Said Donghae

“Half was enough to turn me over, Man.” Said Siwon

“I think the MCs did a great job.” Said Donghae

“The MCs are funny, they’re veterans.” Said Siwon “But that’s not the funniest part.”

“No, don’t say it. You’d  be rude.” Said Donghae

“No, I’m not going to be rude, Man. I mean…she was ok…she’s actually pretty when she greeted us…and then she started singing… her image just collapsed!” said Siwon

“You said you won’t be rude.” said Donghae

“I said she’s pretty right?” asked Siwon

“That girl is not Korean. I think JYP scouted her when she vacationed here.” said Donghae

“You know something like that about her?” asked Siwon "Well she does look a bit different...But she blends well with Korean looks. Is she Chinese perhaps?"

“Hmmm...that I don't know. And don't get me wrong...I don't research them. I can’t remember where I heard it, but their group is frequently talked about. They got good composers and the songs are cool. They won some awards the past months.” Said Donghae

“They did?” asked Siwon

“Yeah. I got to see their performances the past months…they’re pretty good.” Said Donghae

“Well…they said in the group there’s this one member who’s least talented.” Said Siwon “there’s always an exception to the rule.”

“I heard she has a lot of haters.” Said Donghae “Poor girl.”

“Haters? Because she sings off tune?” asked Siwon

“Among other things…” said Donghae

“Now that’s our similarity.” Said Siwon “Being hated.”

“You’re being hard on yourself, Man.” Said Donghae “What are they planning to do with you now?”

Siwon took a gulp of soju. He’s not allowed to say something about WGM.

“They’re looking for a regular show for me.” Said Siwon

“That’s good.” Said Donghae

“I have a feeling I won’t like the show…Hyung hinted me already.” Said Siwon

“I don’t think it’s wise to say No this time, Man. You’re pretty much in the corner.” Said Donghae

“Yeah…I thought so too…But it’s hard to say yes when I know I’ll just drag myself into it.” Said Siwon “You know what I’m like…I put importance to my craft…I work hard in everything I do…that’s why I choose my projects carefully…I want to give the best that I have to my fans…they deserve that much from me.” Said Siwon

“Did that love for your craft got you to trouble in the enlistment?” asked Donghae

Siwon nodded. Donghae knows him well.

“So what will you do now?” asked Donghae

“I guess I don’t have a choice.” Said Siwon

“Just say Yes man…and then give people time to forget it.”  Said Donghae

Donghae opened his phone.

“A girl?” asked Siwon

“Oh not really. I was just checking…I heard they would immediately release a teaser of the show tonight.” Said Donghae

“That fast?” asked Siwon

Siwon checked his phone too and looked at the net…The teaser was up…and it has that off-tune portion by the French girl group.

Tsk tsk…the show is pretty rude.

Siwon browsed through the comment.                       

“She should just take a rest and give it up.” Said one comment “Omo…did she get offtune for the hundredth time?!” said another.

“She’s having to deal with this all the time?” asked Siwon

“Yeah. I heard she does.” Said Donghae

People love hating…Once they decide to hate someone…they spread the hate like poison.

Siwon dialed his phone.

“Hyung. Tell the Boss that I’m doing it.” Said Siwon.
