I woke up to the sound of light pounding on the door. I stretched my arms to an empty bed and remembered Hyuk and I fought last night, it was evident on my face as well since my eyes were a red from crying last night. I put on my robe and went to get the door. That’s right, he said he’d get his things in the morning, but he knows the passcode. I checked the monitor and instead of seeing Hyuk like I expected there were two policemen at the door instead.

“Annyeonghaseyo. Is this the home of Lee Hyukjae-ssi?” the officer asked through the intercom.

“Ne, Chankamanyo.” What did he do to have cops at my door? I opened the door and greeted the officers. “Annyeonghaseyo.”

“We’re sorry to come here this early but would you be the wife of Hyukjae-ssi?” The officers didn’t seem to notice who I was.

“Girlfriend. Why is he in some kind of trouble Officer-nim?” Well technically Ex-girlfriend now.

“Ne, He’s been in an accident around 11 pm...” The officers explained.

Ugh, my head, it feels like I’ve been hit with a pan repeatedly. I opened my eyes slowly feeling for my head with what felt like cloth wrapped tightly around it. Where am I?

“Look, He’s waking up.” I recognized that voice anywhere, it was Yeon Hee. “Oppa call the Doctor.”

“Ne,” I heard the other voice,it was Donghae “Bro I’m calling the doctor.” He dashed out of the room.

“Oppa what happened to you last night?” She asked.

“Everything is just a blur. I remember being angry and driving away and then I ended up here.” I said flinching in pain, trying to recall the last 24 hours.

“Kwenchana Oppa, don’t hurt yourself trying to remember.” That was when the Doctor came in and took a look at me.

“Everything seems fine, he just got a concussion from the impact, which is why he was unconscious for a few hours, actually I think he’s very lucky there was no serious physical injury because the crash was pretty bad from what I heard from the paramedics. I’ll have the nurse fix your discharging papers and you can go home. I advise you not drive for a while though I trust your friends here can take you home?”

“Ne, seonsaengnim,Kamsahamnida.” I bowed and the doctor excused himself.

“You heard the doctor You’re lucky nothing bad happened.” Yeon Hee repeated. “Oppa didn’t you read the part in the handbook that says keep your eyes on the road?You could have gotten seriously injured.”

“Arayo,Omma. ” I laughed teasingly.

“You even find time to joke around like this?” Yeon Hee said slapping my arm.

“Apa.” I rubbed my arm. “ My arm is a little sore still.”

“Don’t fight her. You’re gonna lose.” Donghae laughed earning a slap to the arm as well from Yeon Hee.  “Yah!I’m still you’re Oppa.”

“By the way,Yeon Hee-ya where’s Seunghyun?” I asked.

“He couldn’t get out of work they have a big client coming and he sends his regards.” She replied.

“I’ll call him later and thank him then.” I replied and out of nowhere the door opened and a worried girl walked in.<
