~ Awakening ~

White hot light

Blinding

So bright

And that pain 

That searing burning pain

His dragon emblem encased in flames

A deep echoing voice.

The dragon. Sworn to protect those who are dear to him.  Fated to be king.

But cursed to forget until such time

She comes, the princess. His queen.

To fulfill what is destined.

And that image of that woman

The whisper like voice

Kris.. Have you forgotten? Come back to me

Come back to me...

Yifan woke up with a jolt. Sweat was dripping from his brow and he was struggling to catch his breath. Grabbing the glass of water he had placed on his bedside table. He took it in one large gulp. His breathing evened out gradually. He stood up from his bed running both hands on his hair and tilting it back.

That recurring image of the girl. Previously in his dream that image of that woman seems to be hazy but this time it seemed to be almost clearing but though not quite there yet. Also that feeling that for some strange reason he knew her.

Yifan opened that door that let to his terrace and made his way unto it. The cold night air hitting his skin and he could smell winter when he breathed in. He lent against that balustrade

That pain, the pain he had felt during his awakening. It felt so real.

“Forgotten?” He said to himself. Because every time he tried to remember his awakening it always seemed like there is a part of it that is missing. Like there was a gap that he can’t completely understand still. 

Then a sudden recollection came over him. His dream about his father, about how he talked about his awakening. Yifan cannot shake the feeling that there was a connection in fact he was certain that there was.  He knew what he needed to do. Walking back into his room, he closed his terrace door grabbed a shirt a walked out determined to at least find the clarity of these visions these dreams.

Far off into the other side of town music was slowly playing from a little snow globe

The little princess danced among the snow flakes, twirling slowly as the music played while

 Rae Ji slept.

Her dreams filled with those broken images again

White bright light

A strange emblem encased in flames

She could feel herself speaking but there was no sound

She could feel herself running

Her arms reaching to someone

A man. But she could only see his silhouette

There it was again that feeling of  familiarty

But no matter how hard she had tried to reach
