"So what is it with you and a sudden interest for a story book Hyung? Practicing to be a dad? Isn’t it to soon? You haven’t even asked Rae Ji out". Jongdae said teasingly

Yifan shot him a look.

“Kidding” Jongdae added.

"Stop making fun Jongdae-yah and just help look." Minseok admonished his younger brother

Yifan rubbed his temple slightly, it had been a few hours but still no sign of the book, Jongdae had helped out about two hours ago but even with 3 people looking they still couldn’t seem to find it.

Minseok gave Yifan shoulder a pat. “Maybe you should take a break, Jongdae and I will look into it, you’ve been extra stressed for days”

Jongdae nodded “Yeah I’ve got nothing better to do anyways”

Yifan reluctantly agreed. Maybe his brothers were right, all this brooding is making more him stressed out.

I guess would be helpful to take a break to clear my thoughts. Yifan thought to himself as he made his way back to his room for a shower.

Rubbing a towel on his hair, he took a seat on his arm chair, he grabbed a book on his nightstand.  For some reason his room felt so empty. His mind drifted off to the conversations he and Rae Ji had and the way she seemed to light up the room with her presence, he smiled

Rae Ji put the small parcel on her bag. She was a bit surprised when it arrived this morning delivered by a man who claimed to work for Kim Woobin. It apparently was a thank you gift for her help on picking out the books.

“How nice of him”  she thought

She had wanted to open it but at that time the store was a little bit busy. So she decided that she'll open it when she got home, Mrs. Hwang had asked her to close up early today. Giving the store one last look over to check if everything was in place she switched off the lights and started top close up.

 She blew a raspberry. Several days have passed now since she last saw Kris. His brothers have all dropped by within the span of those days but she had not seen Yifan since the day he dropped her off at her place. 

Sometimes she wanted to ask them about him but the moment she opened to ask she would feel embarrassed and just close again. “Great I must have looked like a fish” she would think inwardly. 

To be quite honest she didn’t really understand why she had wanted to see Yifan, perhaps it was the worried expression he had when he dropped her off a few days back. Sometimes she would think of texting him but the moment she would hit compose she could not think of anything to say, so she would end up locking her phone and jamming it back into her pocket.

Locking the door and placing the padlocks Rae Ji got ready to walk home. She turned when she collided into something or rather someone.

“Oomph! I’m so sorry!” She said almost automatically but was startled to see the person she had just collided

“Yifan-oppa?” Rae Ji said startled

 I’m so sorry!” She bowed low.

“No no! I should be the one apologizing!” Kris said waving both hands

“I shouldn’t startled you like that” he added

“It’s quite alright, What brings you here though? Did you want to buy some books?” She said as he pointed her thumb at the direction of the shop

“Well not really, I was just wondering uh if you weren’t doing anything would you like to join me for a meal?”

Rae Ji was taken by surprise. She had just been thinking about him a few moments ago and here he is. The suddenness seemed to have paused her reply

“Oh damn. I should have called shouldn’t I, you might have had plans and here I am popping out no where and startling you” Yifan said suddenly, it was the first time that she had seem Kris not so composed.

It was cute. He was cute. That thought make her cheeks turn pink

“No plans at all and I’d love to join you for a meal.” Rae Ji said

Yifan smiled brightly “That’s great! Shall we?” he said leading her to the direction of food district.
