'Hey Haein! Guess who I met this morning?!' Luhan exclaimed as we both walked toward our seats in Biology class. 'Who?' I said rather flatly. 'A family friend, Eunhye! She used to be my neighbour back in China but now she's on a scholarship!'

'oh,wow that's nice... can't wait to meet her' I replied, unknowingly with a hint of sarcasm. 

'What's wrong with you? You seem so--' but before Luhan could continue, Miss Jung announced, 'Class, there'll be a new student joining us today. She's a transfer student from China so please make her feel welcome.' Then turning to Eunhye, she said, 'you may take the seat by the window next to Luhan.'

It seemed like something came over Luhan as soon as she sat down. The two were inseparable. Whispering and giggling throughout the whole lesson. 

The way he looked at her made me want to punch her face in. It's not fair! I thought we were best friends. Now, some stranger from overseas comes and vanquishes my every existence. 

"Alright Haein, chill. Maybe she isn't so bad. Give her a chance" I tried to convince myself.

It kept getting to me though. Just the distance between them made me rage on the inside. I mean, did Miss Jung really have to choose the one seat right next to Luhan, out of all the other seats in the classroom? Couldn't she just have chosen someone else instead? At least then there would be some peace in this world. 

Time really flew by and before I knew it, it was already time for us to change our classes.

As I walked to my next class, I couldn't help but won
