Chapter 29

Sulli’s Plan

“I don’t know how you convinced me to do this. But let me tell you now that I am already regretting it.” Said Sunny

Sunny and Sulli are both wearing black hoods as they walked in the rain going to a forest.

“Master Cha and the others will kill me when once they know I have something to do with this.” Said Sunny

“ I promise I won’t tell.” Said Sulli

“They would discover it anyway. I need to prepare myself for punishment.” Said Sunny

They reached a clearing in the forest.

“Ok…here we are.” Said Sulli

“Are you sure you want to subject yourself to this?” asked Sunny

“Yes. There’s no turning back.” Said Sulli

“Leave me now Sunny. Hurry, Go back to the Inn before they notice us missing.” Said Sulli

Sunny sigh.

“I won’t forgive you if you die because of this.” Said Sunny slowly walking away.

When Sulli felt Sunny far away, she stood at the center of the clearing. Sulli closed her eyes and started chanting.

“She has now recovered though she doesn’t go out of her room yet.” Said the spy.

“The princess is having a hard time healing.” Said Muklan “That’s a good job Adah.”

Adah knelt. “I am glad to please you Mistress.”

“Han, Adah is doing a good job. Makes you proud being her savior isn’t it?” asked Muklan

Minho looked away.

Adah walked kneeling towards Minho.

“Master…if I did something that disappointed you tell me please.” Said Adah.

Minho looked at Muklan.

“I don’t think we should attack like cowards.” Said Minho

“It’s not like we are cowards, Han. We are taking precautions. The circle is not weak. We can’t take chances.” Said Muklan.

“I would need leave now Mistress.” Said the spy.

“Go ahead.” Muklan walked towards the spy and gave him a tight hug.

“I am glad you are on our side. Be careful. Make sure they do not find you out.” Said Muklan

The spy nodded.

Minho left the room.

It was suffocating inside. He received a good news inside…she’s recovering…and so far…she’s far from danger.

“You have to be careful of your actions and words.” Said the voice of the spy from behind Minho.

“If you keep getting worried about her, they’ll eventually think you may have some overly affectionate feelings over her.” Said the spy.

“I don’t like to hear any advice from a spy like you. You have no sense of loyalty.” Said Minho

“Oh…hearing it from you? I thought your loyalty was to the first princess. But here you are with the people set to destroy everything the first princess is fighting for. Oh…and pledging your loyalty to the first princess but then falling for the second princess? Is that loyalty?” asked the spy

Minho grabbed the spy’s neck lifting him in the air. Minho’s eyes turned red.

“I handle my own problems. Don’t interfere.” Said Minho

“Minho”

Minho heard a voice.

“Minho Can you hear me?”

Minho’s eyes went back to its normal color. Minho dropped the spy down.

“I know you can hear me. I am in the forest you first saved me. Remember when I got attacked by wolves?”

That voice…That familiar voice can only be Sulli.

“I am alone right now. I intentionally left the circle. I am going to transform into my Faerie form. I want your sister to feel my presence…I want her to have me tracked. I want her to capture me.” Said Sulli

Minho’s eyes narrowed as his hand closed into a fist.

“I want her to take me where you are.” Said Sulli

This one way communication is frustrating Minho. No matter what he says, Sulli will not hear him. Adah and Muklan only needs Sulli’s core. If they discover where she is, they will only get the core. They don’t care if she dies in the process. What makes her think that they will keep her alive and bring her to this house?

The spy noticed Minho’s change.

“What’s the matter?” asked the spy “Suddenly fighting the Dark in you?”

“If there’s an ounce of concern you have for Sulli, Stop her from doing what she’s doing. She’s going to put herself in danger.” Said Minho

The spy’s eyes widen.

“She’s protected by the Circle.” Said the spy.

“It seems she slipped out of their protection.” Said Minho

And then the spy quickly went out.

Muklan felt odd at Han’s words earlier. He is clearly not with them on their fighting strategy. He thinks their ways are cowardly.

Suddenly, Muklan felt it. The princess’ presence.

“Adah…get ready. The Princess has shown herself again.” Said Muklan

“I’m ready anytime, Mistress.” Said Adah.

“Make sure you get the core this time.”

“Yes, Mistress.” Said Adah.

Minho saw it when Adah flew away. As expected, Muklan will not pass up a chance to get the core.

Sulli transformed herself into a Faerie. It won’t take long now.  This is a big gamble, if Minho doesn’t care about her a bit, this plan will fail. If he doesn’t care about her at all, Sulli is hoping he might hold on to his loyalty to her sister Dhara. She needs to get a chance in order to succeed in finding the next bloodline. It doesn’t matter if he’ll appear just because of her sister…as long as he appears…

But somehow…buried deep inside Sulli’s heart is a tiny hope …that when Minho does appear…he would be there not because of Dhara…but because of her.

Sulli heard flapping of wings…Her Attacker has arrived.

“We meet again Princess.” Said Adah

“If I had a choice, I wouldn’t want to meet you again.” Said Sulli “No offense.”

Adah laughed. “It’s all right if you insult me or try to offend me. You’re going to be dead in a minute anyway.”

“That’s what I thought you’d say. So I am here to make a bargain with you.” Said Sulli

“HuH? You are not in a position to negotiate.” Said Adah

“I have been tired of always running away and getting wounded. I know you’re tired of always failing to get the core too.” Said Sulli “So let’s compromise.”

“You’re all alone right now.” Said Adah “Certainly you are at a disadvantage.”

“I made sure I had enough strength today to call on the circle. I can call the circle members anytime now and they’ll be here in an instant...” said Sulli “But I won’t do that now…not yet.”

“What do you want?” asked Adah

“I want you to take me to your Mistress.” Said Sulli

“Why would you want to do that? My Mistress doesn’t know mercy. She won’t stop just by begging.” Said Adah “And besides…she has a special hate towards Faeries.”

“I am also not going to be happy to see her. Faeries are also not comfortable with Black Dragons.” Said Sulli “But I want to talk to her.”
