Chapter 28

The Circle Healer

Sunny helped Sulli to transform into the rose haired girl again. But then, as soon as Sulli transformed, her chest wound opened again and blood started flowing from her wound.

“Oh no…Master Cha!” Sunny shouted.

Sunny put a blanket over Sulli and went out of the room to get Master Cha.

“Master! Sulli’s losing blood.” Said Sunny

“Is she counscious?” asked Master Cha

”She’s slowly losing consciousness” said Sunny

“Quick, put pressure on her wound. Kris and I will go out and look for a healer.” Said Master Cha

Sunny ran back to the room.

“Chanyeol, Luhan, stay here. We don’t know if the black dragons were able to track Sulli since she just went back to her human form now.” Said Master Cha

“We’ll stay here and be on the guard, Master.” Said Chanyeol

Master Cha and Kris quickly went out.

It was already deep in the night. And they could not find a healer that is willing to go leave their houses.

“Please…her injury is really bad and we need to have her wound closed.” Said Kris

“I have family. I can’t leave them at a time like this.” Said the man.

This is the 5th healer who rejected helping them because he has a family to protect during the night.

“Is there a healer then who does not have family?” asked Kris in frustration.

“Well…healers in this city are pretty old. So they would usually have family.” Said the man

“Sir, we’ve been going around and if we can only take the operation into our own hand we would have done it already. She might die tonight if we can’t find a healer.” Said Master Cha

“Hmmm…then you need a healer who doesn’t have a family. I mean an orphan. You should go to the southern part of this city. There’s a healer there…well sort of like a healer…we really do not know what he is. He combines healing and sorcery and he asks for a large sum of money when he uses that ability of his.” Said the man

“How can we find him?” asked Kris

The man gave specific instructions to the house.

“It sound familiar.” Said Kris

Master Cha gave a thought. “That’s the house we went to earlier today….So the healer…”

“Is Kai” answered Kris

They knocked on the door with urgency. It did not take long before Kai opened the door.

“You again?! Why are you here? Did she gone missing again? This time, with all my heart and soul, I tell you she’s not here.” said Kai a bit sleepy

“Sulli is in the Inn.” Said Master Cha “We are here because we need your help.”

“Help? Again? How many times do I have to help your group? Do you know that today, I did not earn a coin? Plus, I ended up at a loss because of course I had to eat and all?” asked Kai

“You do not know who you are talking to. Please give more respect. “ said Kris

“I do not care if you’re the King of Zaruum. If you can’t give me money to live, you are as good as and as bad as all other people.” Said Kai

“Sulli’s wound opened earlier…Her bleeding has been non-stop since then.” Said Master Cha

Kai's face suddenly became stern.

“How long has it been?” asked Kai

“Almost an hour. We’ve been looking for a healer the past hour and could not find anyone who can go to the Inn to look at Sulli.” Said Master Cha

“An hour…she has lost a lot already by now.” Said Kai “Hmmm…I’ve already put Yujiru leaves combined with ukli powdered root and wendux honey on her wounds. That’s supposed to close it. I was sure the wounds won’t open until it heals.”

“Did she do a strenuous activity today?” asked Kai “Ah yeah…she walked quite a lot earlier going back to the Inn…hmm…”

“We also had to put a spell on her.” Said Master Cha

Kai is shocked. “Why would you do that to a person badly wounded?”asked Kai “You should have waited until her wound is at least partially closed already.”

“Sulli has a special case. If we don’t put a spell on her…there are people who would do bad things to her…” said Master Cha

“She’s from a rich family.” Said Kris

“Oh…if she’s rich I should’ve asked for a chest of coins as reward for saving her.” Said Kai

“We’ll pay you handsomely if you come with us now.” Said Kris

“You should’ve said that as early as I opened the door.” Said Kai smiling

“Let’s just hope she’s still alive by the time we get there. And let’s hope you can really close her wound. Or else…you’d get nothing.” Said Master Cha

“Ahh…so there’s a risk…No pay no gain then. I’m going.” Said Kai “Let me just get my things.”

Kai entered his house and took a box. He saw a note near his box.

“What’s this?”

Kai read the note.

“My savior, Thank you for picking me up in the streets, caring for my wound like a healer. Leaving me food to eat and making me rest. I know you said it is not free, but I know your true heart. You are a good person. A person who can’t stand seeing a wounded dying person alone. A person who would take a risk of bringing home a stranger. I will never forget your kindness. I left your house with my friends who were all worried for me. If we ever see you again and you are in need, I will surely extend my hand to you. -Sulli”

They arrived in the Inn.

“Him?! Why Him?!” asked Chanyeol

“It seems he’s a healer.” Said Master Cha

“A healer? A bogus vendor…is a healer?” asked Chanyeol

When Kai entered the room,  2 blankets full of blood is already on the floor. Another blanket is on Sulli’s chest.

Sunny moved aside hesitantly. “Why are you here?”

“I am a healer.” Said Kai

“You..are?” asked Sunny shocked

Kai saw hwo Sulli's hair and skin changed. Must be the spell.

“She needs blood soon.” Said Kai “I’m going to close her wound. And then I need human blood. Blood that matches with hers.”

“How do we know which blood matches with her?” asked Sunny

“I’ll know. Get water. I need to clean my hands.” Said Kai

Sunny hurried out. “We need clean water please!” shouted Sunny

The men hurriedly looked for water.

Kai started mixing the same mixture of medicine he put on Sulli’s wound earlier that day. But this time, he needs to stitch the wound. This group seems to be on the go.

Kai cleaned his things and his hand and proceeded to stitch the wound close. Then he put his mixture on the closed wound.

“There’s a spell I need you to chant for me.” Said Kai

“Huh?” asked Sunny

“It’s a spell to for fast repair. It’s used for broken things or tore objects. I need you to cast that spell on Sulli’s wound. But be careful, don’t overdo it or the wound will burst open.” Said Kai
