Chapter 4

Carry Me

“Who are you? And what do you know about the Circle?” asked the man

“I am Sulli…a warrior…student to Master Cha…He is also a member of the Circle.” Said Sulli

“I am Minho…a warrior from the Palace…sent here to find your Master.” Said Minho

Minho stared at the mud covered woman…It’s hard to see with all the mud…but she seems to be a normal human.

“Where is your Master?” asked Minho

“We got separated when the wolves attacked us.” Said Sulli “Why are you looking for Master Cha?”

“I have instructions.” Said Minho  “What do you know about the Circle?”

“Hmm….” This man he has this dark aura….He is…vey…very scary…She can’t see clearly in the darkness of the night…but the glint of moonlight tells her the man in front of her is nothing she has ever seen…Even in the dark..she can see how dashing this creature is…Dashing…to the point of making her heart beat loud…to the point of being scary…

Sulli shook her head. No matter how handsome a creature is…He can be a shapeshifter of a snake.

 “I once saw Master Cha’s  mark…he told me that the mark symbolizes being a member of the Circle of Diamond.” Said Sulli

“And?” asked Minho

“And what?” asked Sulli

“That’s all? He didn’t say anything else?” asked Minho

“Umm…yeah…is there more?” asked Sulli

Minho is not convinced that the girl only knows what she is claiming…but that would suffice for now. She can lead him to the man the Princess asked them to meet.

“Can you trace where your Master might be?” asked Minho

Can this man be trusted? What if he is really of the Dark?

Sulli closed her eyes…

He’s a member of the Circle.

Sulli took a deep breath…she must trust him…

“They’re looking for me for sure.” Said Sulli

“They?” asked Minho

“He is with another student.” Said Sulli “Master Cha said we’ll meet down the mountain.”

Minho looked around…wherever those 2 people are…they are not within the area because he would have already seen them if they were.

“Can you trace where you last saw them?” asked Minho

“Can’t we just go down the mountain and meet them there in the morning?” asked Sulli

“I want to meet them as soon as possible. I want to return to the Palace once the task is done.” Said Minho

Hmm…for a scary creature…he seems to be not fond of outdoors…

Should she really be nervous of his presence?

“I can remember my way…but it won’t be easy.” Said Sulli

“What is not easy for you…might be easy to me.” Said Minho

“Right…but I am with you…” said Sulli

Minho ignored Sulli.

“Let’s hurry up.” Said Minho

Sulli and Minho ran back from where Sulli come from. Minho is extremely fast. But unlike Chanyeol’s moves, this man’s moves are light….like he’s just a shadow moving around…Sulli can’t even hear it when he jumps up and down. If she closes her yes…she wouldn’t know he’s there…Well now that it’s pitch dark and she can only see a glimpse of him for a second when the moon light briefly touches him, she can almost feel she’s alone….

It’s like…he blends with the night…

Sulli stopped running…She closed he eyes…She whispered some words.

Minho felt it when the human stopped. He felt it when she spoke light words that he could not understand…what is she doing?

Minho looked back…she’s too far behind…humans…are too slow.

Minho is impatient…he needs the circle completed soon…he needs the next bloodline found …he needs to go back to the Princess…she needs him.

This is one of the reasons why he can’t stand humans…They are slow…emotional and weak creatures…the only humans that can make him stay around…Is the King…and the Princess….

Minho leaped towards the human until he is standing face to face with her…

She didn’t even open her eyes..as if she did not feel him….

No…she’s pretending not to hear him…He purposely made sure his fall was forceful so that the human feels him. But she still has her eyes closed and is still whispering.

 “What do you think you’re doing?” asked Minho

But the human seems to not have heard him. Minho is starting to get furious. He touched the hardened mud covered arm of the human.

He tugged at the arm careful to not pull too much as not to cause damage…but hard enough to shake the human.

The human slowly opened her eyes.

“What do you think you’re doing?” asked Minho “We can’t waste time.”

“I was praying…for safety…I was praying that Master Cha and my friend is safe…And I was praying that I would still be alive in the morning to meet them…. I don’t know if I can trust you.” Said Sulli

“You think that I’ll kill you?” asked Minho

“You killed a wolf with just one hand.” Said Sulli

“I hate wasting time. If I wanted to kill you, you’re already dead by now.” Said Minho

Minho took a few steps “Let’s keep going. And stop praying for safety. I am not a threat to you right now.” Said Minho

Sulli kept running and catching up with Minho but she can’t seem to catch up…he is faster than Chanyeol…and sometimes, she would even not see where he went.

Sulli stopped walking again.

She waited a few seconds and as expected, the shadow man appeared in front of her immediately.

“Why are you stopping again?” asked Minho

“I don’t know what creature you are…but I am human…I need to rest. I’ve been running for hours.” Said Sulli

Minho made a  frustrated sigh.

“I apologize. But…I can’t help it…my legs are going to give way any minute now.” Said Sulli
