Chapter  17

The Lady and the Servant

Minho felt his back a bit better on the third day of their travel on the forest. His back does not hurt anymore. However, His senses are not back to the usual sharpness.

“Master…we’ve been travelling for days…All I see are green…I miss villages and cities…I even miss faces of strangers…until when will we be stuck here?” asked Sunny

“I agree Master.” Said Chanyeol

Chanyeol is angry the past days…Sulli just went away without a word. And Master Cha was actually ok with that?!  He can’t help but get worried…But Master Cha assured him that Sulli’s all right.

“This forest is big. We’ll reach a village by the end of the day.” Said Master Cha

“Why do you know everything Master? It seems like you have a map on your mind.” Said Kris

“Because I travelled this before…For the past 15 years…I was trying to find the Circle…” said Master Cha

“But the circle is only called by the Princess…and without the princess…it would be impossible to find the circle.” Thought Master Cha

Minho kept looking back.

TOP noticed it.

“Are you…all right?” asked TOP

“Huh? Umm...Yeah. I just…my back is not fully recovered.” Said Minho

Master Cha looked at Minho.

“We should probably rest.” Said Master Cha

“No. We’ve rested too many times for me. Let’s continue.” Said Minho

But even so saying, Minho still kept looking back.

Sunny sigh.

“What?” asked TOP

“Nothing…I just….missed Sulli…” said Sunny

If there’s anything different between a man and a woman…it’s definitely the tongue.

Chanyeol has been holding back saying those exact words…

Even Kris felt it odd how the usual talkative girl is no longer around.

TOP nodded. It definitely feels different without the human girl.

“The village we’re going to see is a festive one. It has a lot of stores and a lot of entertainment.” Said Master Cha

“Great!  We need that. Some cheering up will help!” Said Chanyeol

The circle walked on.

Princess Shuhliah is hiding behind  a tree a few meters from the circle. Now that she’s using her faerie capabilities, she can travel faster…her steps are light as feather…She can follow the circle wherever they go…and she will follow them…they need her to find the next circle member…

But nobody can know they have a Faerie with them and absolutely nobody can know that the 2nd princess is with them…people would ask questions…Why is there a second princess? Why did the king hide the second princess? What is the group for? And it will be chaotic…

Sulli looked beyond…the village that the circle is going into…doesn’t feel right…

Maybe it’s just her…but it’s better to be careful.

Sulli saw a tall tree and stood on one of its thin branches….as the wind blows on the branch and sways it…so does Sulli for she’s standing on it.

Woah! It’s a Festivity alright!

Chanyeol pulled Kris with him to walk around.

“Hey, let’s find a place to stay first.” Said Master Cha

“Oh…all right.” Said Chanyeol disappointed.

Some people started looking at them.

Tsk…Master Cha shook his head…this is the pain of having too many good looking young men travelling together.

Sunny also shook her head. “I think I look like a lucky little girl to have a bunch of good looking older brothers.” Said Sunny

TOP smirked. “They are all thinking ‘what a lucky kid having a bunch of handsome babysitters’.” Said TOP

Sunny gave out a fake laugh.

Chanyeol suddenly missed Sulli more…they’re like Sunny and TOP…they bicker a lot…but they enjoy it…nobody can answer each other’s jokes and sarcasm aside from each other.

Chanyeol looked back and saw Minho looking back at the forest. Chanyeol’s eyes narrowed.

Is Minho feeling the same way? No…Minho doesn’t care about anyone…But why does Chanyeol feel like suddenly what felt like coincidences of Minho being there when Sulli’s in danger…become doubtful…were those moments just a coincidence that Minho was able to save Sulli…or was he watching out for her?

Chanyeol felt that pang of pain in his chest.

“Hey Minho.” Called Chanyeol

“Did you leave anything in the forest?” asked Chanyeol

Minho looked at Chanyeol. Everyone else is looking at him.

Minho shook his head. “I’d look for it later.”

“Huh?” was the reaction from everyone. Minho walked forward.

“What did he leave behind?” asked Sunny confused

The group has been in different Inns but there were no rooms…it seems it’s really time for the festival and the rooms are all taken.

Chanyeol saw a beautiful woman walk past him…she’s so beautiful…and so fragrant…

Even Kris’ attention was captured. She bumped into large looking men…almost like trolls…

“I…am so sorry.” Said the woman

“Oh…sorry? Is that enough?” asked the troll

“This is going to be a scene of the damsel in distress needs Knight in shining armor.” said Sunny

“Do you always need to be cynical about pretty women?” asked TOP

“Hmm…not all the time. Just….these types gets on my nerves.” Said Sunny

“Ok…who’s going to volunteer on saving the lady?” asked Sunny

But even before Sunny can finish her words, Kris and Chanyeol were already running to help the lady.

The trolls who wanted to play with the lady quickly fell on their knees with the Lion’s strength and with the Knights metal abilities---especially that he took a knife from inside that restaurant’s kitchen by just raising his arm and used it against that troll.

The woman looked sincerely frightened. Her hands and legs are shaking.

Sunny shook her head. Well…it seems she’s a legitimate damsel in distress then.

“Are you all right, my lady?” asked Kris

“Umm….” The lady just nodded

“I think she needs to sit down and drink something to calm herself.” Said Sunny

Master Cha opened his sackbag and poured water with a tint of tea for the lady.

Even Master Cha is mesmerized. Sunny shrugged her shoulder. What can she do? All the people around her are men.
