Chapter 20

Seaside Warriors

It was outstanding! The ocean in front of them was replaced by a large grand gate…as tall as….the wave!!!

“The wave….was the gate?!” asked Kris in astonishment

“The wave  is the entrance to the Seaside Village.” Said Master Cha “It’s like a moving gate.”

Everyone could not believe the wisdom Master Cha has.

They entered the gate….Chanyeol looked up to see that  he could not see the sky..but water! The wall is also made of water…

“More of an underwater Kingdom than a seaside village to me.” Said Chanyeol

And then they reached a dead-end.

Two men came out of the water wall to stop them. Both of the men has tint of blue in their hair.

“This is the farthest you can go, Ladies and gentlemen. May we know why you wanted to enter the Seaside Village?” asked one of them

“We are here to talk with the leaders. There is something of great importance that we want to get their help on.” Said Master Cha.

“We could not allow you to enter without a specific reason. More so to escot you to our leaders.” Said the other.

“We are from the palace.” Said Kris

Kris took a medallion from inside his coat and handed it to the guard.

“I am one of the Ace guards of the Palace. If you give that to your leaders, I’m sure they’ll recognize it.” Said Kris

One of the guards took the medallion and walked on.

The other one is left facing them.

“This is a brave guard. Him guarding the gate alone…when we’re 7 people against him.” Said Chanyeol

“They normally put their strongest on the gate.” Said Master Cha

“Can he be the one we’re looking for?” asked Sunny

“Strength is not the only reason for being with us, you should know that sorcerer…remember how you used to fail your magic?” asked TOP

“Do you really have to call it out?” asked Sunny irritated.

It took an hour of standing and waiting before the other guard came back and nodded. One of the water walls opened.

“Please come in. Our leaders are waiting for you.”

They went through the opening. They were given a blue sticky thing to put on their neck.

“This is not flattering.” Said Sunny

“That will help you breath properly. The air we have in the village is different from how it is in the shore.” Said the guards.

Chanyeol looked up…even inside the village…the ceiling is still water…This village has to change its name pretty soon…”Underwater Village..no make that mini-Kingdom” suits it better.

How can they call it a village?! The place has an area full of houses…there is a market…an area full of people in the center…It’s like a small version of Zaruum…only that it’s…under water.

They arrived in a tall structure. It looks so magnificent and elegant with gold designs and sculptures everywhere. They were led in.

They were brought in a very grand room where an assembly is waiting…An Assembly of more than a hundred people waiting for them.

“They gathered a party. So that’s why it took an hour.” Said Kris

The 2 guards left them at the center.

“Who leads your group?” asked the man on the highest chair.

Kris looked at Master Cha. But Master Cha nodded for Kris to step forward.

Kris stepped forward taking a deep breath.

“I am leading the Circle.” Said Kris “I am Kris one of the Ace Knights of the Palace.”

The medallion was brought to the head of the clan.

“This is yours?” asked the head.

“Yes.” Said Kris.

“What brings an Ace Knight to the Seaside Village?” asked The head.

Kris knew a hundred people hearing the news of the king’s death will not be good.

“I am asking if I can have a private word with you Sir.” Said Kris

“This is an assembly…We decide together as one.” Said one of the people in the right.

Kris looked at Sulli but Sulli smiled at Kris telling him to go on.

“We are here as commanded by the Princess in concurrence with the wishes of the King. We are instructed to be careful of the mission and we would only reveal this to the head of the clan.” Said Kris

The assembly started to clamor.

Chanyeol started to prepare his claws. TOP started lifting his hands….but he could get too little wind…

Minho and Master Cha are on the guard. Sulli touched the dagger on her side. Sunny took her stick out.

“Stop!” shouted in a  loud and full voice by the head of the clan.

Everyone stopped talking.

“You are all threatening our visitors!” said the head.

The assembly saw the Circle…everyone in the circle looks ready to attack.

“We have come here in peace. But we are ready to defend ourselves. And we are ready to sacrifice even our lives to fulfill the mission given us. We ask that a private conversation with you Sir.” Said Kris

“Then we will prove what you said. How many of you are fighters?” asked the head.

Master Cha answered “You have 5 of us in the Circle.” Said Master Cha

“5? Aren’t the women fighters as well?” asked the head.

Master cha looked at Sulli and Sunny…

No.

“I will fight.” Said Sulli

“Me too.” said Sunny

“The women are willing to fight then.” Said the head.

“Get our seven warriors.” Called the head.

“If you win in a battle against our 7 warriors, then you would have the chance to talk to me alone.” Said the head. “Is there anyone who disagrees?”

Nobody answered.

“Then that will be the case.” Said the head.

“Be ready. It seems they are confident about their warriors…that is why nobody appealed…because they think we don’t stand a chance of winning.” Said Master Cha

“They need to get really disappointed then.” Said Chanyeol.

“We can’t be too sure. This is their territory.” Said Master Cha

That’s true…TOP can already feel the disadvantage. Without much wind. His actions would be restricted.

Besides…these people do not have that slimy sticky thing on their necks…it means they are able to breathe well here. That’s going to be a big challenge.

As they walked to a large stage in the center of the Village, Master Cha gave further instructions.

“We need to finish  this fast. I am expecting that we will get tired fast because of the air….if this fight goes on long, we are in a disadvantage.” Said Master Cha

Everyone nodded.

Master Cha looked at Minho. Master Cha dropped a silent word beside Minho “Watchout for Sulli.”

Minho didn’t need to be told. He would be there beside Sulli…that’s for sure.

7 warriors of the Seaside Village is already waiting on the stage.  The 2 guards are there, both tall and bulky. There is woman who wears quite revealing clothes, A short looking man, A thin looking man
