Learning a New Life“It’s a new day. Be calm. Don’t think about yesterday night,” Seomin murmured to herself as she sat in a crowded room. Today was her first public coaching class. She didn’t want to be here. Seomin didn’t think she’d run into the public eye anyways, as she planned to just release music and perform concerts. Rumours and publicity stunts were out of the question for her. She had promised her mother never to get into that type of trouble.
From the back of the room, Seomin could see her teacher preparing his notes and some props on a long table at the front of the room. He seemed slightly older than Donghae, perhaps 24 or 25. She stood up and followed her classmates to the back where an aisle had been formed for this scenario. When it was her turn, Seomin walked down with a bright smile and a few waves with her hand, hoping that this would be enough. Seomin returned to her group where Chase discussed what they needed to improve. He had them walk again and he corrected their posture and timing of hand movements. “Seomin, show me again.” She started to walk and he stopped her. “Walk straighter.” He put his hand against her back and on her stomach. She straightened up and walked, his hand sliding to her waist. Seomin was sure of her initial thoughts on him; he was excessively physical. She had to avoid him outside of class.
After class, Seomin grabbed her bag and rushed out, afraid of being alone with Chase. As she hustled down the hall, she ducked her head into her bag, looking for her ha
