Sharing The Secret
What's Going On?I woke up with a warm towel on my forehead.
I squinted my eyes as they adjust to the bright light in the room.
"Guys! She's up!" someone said.
I saw Kris getting up from the sofa across me and ran towards where I was.
"Kyungra!" he said, with a grin plastered on his face.
Someone seems a little active today...
"What did you eat giant?" I teased.
"Oh, just your bar of chocolate that you have been saving-"
"YOU WHAT." I raged as I threw my soaked towel at his face.
"Hey!" he said with a rather loud voice and threw it back at me.
"Hyung!" Chen said and pushed Kris, causing him to lose his balance and stumbled to the floor.
"TIMBER." Xiumin shouted.
"Oh, and it's okay if she does it?" Kris said, struggling to get up.
Chen nodded.
"Overprotective cousin." I heard Kris muttered.
Lay let out a hand, helping Kris up.
Kris shook his head, and told the guys to go away for he wants to have a 'private talk' with me.
"Do you remember what happened earlier?"
"The chair flying thingy? Yeah."
"What was that all about? I'm starting to think that it's not safe for us to stay here..." he confessed.
It's about time you realize.
"Why were you locked in that room?" he asked.
"I don't know. Someone pulled me into the dark room and locked the door."
"Who?" he asked.
"Jaerim." I said.
"Who is this Jaerim?" he questioned again.
I took a deep breath. Maybe I should tell him. I should at least tell one person.
"Okay, um, Jaerim is the daughter of the previous owner of this mansion. Long story short, she hates pretty girls, especially those who get treated well by guys, and I think she sort of sees me as one of those girls and she's planning to kill me." I whispered.
Kris's brows furrowed in confusion for a while. "We have got to keep you safe Kyungra." he said.
I nodded knowingly.
"So, um... were you talking to Jaerim in that room? Was she the one who threw the chair?"
I nodded multiple times.
"If you didn't come, I'd probably "see the light" by then." I said making air quotations with my fingers.
"I'm glad I did then." he smiled.
"Hey, speaking of which, how'd you know I was in there?"
"We were going to watch a movie and I went up to call you. You weren't in your room and when I was going to go downstairs I heard voices in the room opposite yours. I twisted the knob and it was locked and yeah, that's how." he said.
"Seriously, thank you." I said, lying back down on the sofa.
"No problemo~" he smiled.
"I... actually found Jaerim's diary days ago." I confessed.
Kris looked at me, telling me to go on.
"And, I might've read a page or two... or half of her diary." I said, shrugging.
"Kyungra. That's her property. It's private stuff."
"Oh, like you wouldn't do the same." I said, raising a brow.
"Well, yeah, maybe. But you know,"
I shook my head.
"I also saw Ahreum's name in one of her entries." I said.
"Ahreum? Was she a secretary?"
I nodded.
"Are you sure it's the same Ahreuma as ours?"
"Pretty much. I tried talking to Ahreum earlier this morning, and she seemed to avoid the topic. I don't know why though..."
I told him.
His face contorted a little while his angry bird brows- I mean eyebrows furrowed in confusion once again.
"Dude, you look-"
"I know! That's my thinking face." he whined.
Kris. He may look manly but sometimes he's really just too cute.
"So, what are we going to do?" He asked.
I shrugged.
"Talk to Ahreum maybe? Because that seems to be the most reasonable and logic thing to do..."
"Or maybe Jaerim-"
"And face her wrath?"
Kris shook his head.
"Okay, you're right. We should talk to Ahreum about this."
"Let's go talk to her now." I said, standing up.
"You're alright already?"
I nodded and gave him a smile.
