It’s one of those cold nights. Raining outside and sometimes the thunder echoed in the house. Among rooms inside the mansion, there is one room occupied with a two men who were sleeping soundly while hugging each other.
It seems like the harsh weather outside didn’t affect the couple, at all.
Jaejoong struggled himself to pull away from the warm hug from his spouse. Though it’s cold outside and he needs more warmness from the other man, still he put a lot of effort to free himself.
“Jaejoongie…” Changmin shushed his wife to stay put on the bed. He even tighten the hug,
“Changmin… I need to go…” Jaejoong still struggle to break free the tighten hug.
“Where you want to go? It’s midnight and cold outside. It’s not good for you…” Changmin who was still sleepy answered his wife. He tilted down his head only to find Jaejoong who was lying close to his chest.
“Just… some errand…” When Changmin off guard, Jaejoong freed himself and got off the bed. He walked to the bathroom to wash his face. As he satisfied with his fresh look, he approached Changmin who still puzzled on the bed.
“I’m going out for a while…” informed Jaejoong. He brushed Changmin’s lips with his, seeking for his husband’s permission. Reflex, Changmin pulled Jaejoong into his embrace, again.
“You aren’t going anywhere, sweetheart…”
“But, Changmin…” Jaejoong tried to argue again.
“No!” sternly Changmin rejected Jaejoong’s idea. Changmin who was sleepy now completely has no intention to sleep again. He the night stand next to him and changed his gaze deep into Jaejoong’s eyes.
There were stains of tears pool in the eyes, reaching for its limit to flood the face. Jaejoong’s face.
“Tell me… Where you want to go?” Changmin plead.
Jaejoong was still in silence, doubting either he has to tell the truth or not.
Changmin swiftly changing his position from sitting in front of Jaejoong to let Jaejoong’s back facing him instead. He wrapped his wife’s body with his long arms and let his chin rest on Jaejoong’s shoulder, inhaling the scent of Jaejoong.
He waited the time for Jaejoong to answer while swaying his body and Jaejoong’s to an unknown rhythm, melody of love he assumed.
Giving up, Jaejoong let out a sigh. He placed his hands onto Changmin’s and played with the wedding ring on his husband’s slender finger.
“Changminnie…” Jaejoong started the conversation. He heard a faint hummed from Changmin and he knew Changmin was expecting an explanation from him.
“Actually… I feel like eating fish cakes at ShinDang-dong’s street…” Jaejoong stopped awhile, waiting for Changmin to scold him for eating a food though it’s 2.00 am.
“Fish cakes at ShinDang-dong’s street?” Changmin asked again, re-confirmed what he just heard.
“Ah, never mind Changmin, let’s just sleep okay…” suggested Jaejoong. It feels like he has burdening his spouse. Changmin was too tired by the tight schedule and now when that man got the chance to return to his family’s mansion, Jaejoong ruined his moment.
Somehow, he started to feel guilty.
Jaejoong started to lie down again on the bed, back-facing Changmin. He didn’t let Changmin to see him at his breaking point.
Changmin just smiles. He got off from the bed and walked to the bathroom to freshen his look. Later, he approached the closet and took out two pieces of sweater and cold jacket with a same design. He wears one that fit with his size and another one he clung onto his arm. Instead of going back to sleep at his side’s of bed, he turned his steps to Jaejoong’s side. He knelt down next to Jaejoong and pulled the thick blanket off from covering his wife’s face.
The doe eyes were started to glistening as the tears kept conceive and streaming down to his pale cheeks. His heart was broken to see his wife in that state.
“I’m going out… Aren’t you coming with me?”
It was a simple invitation from Changmin but a simple word could bring out a big smile to his wife. Seeing a sincere smile from the latter Changmin felt proud. It’s his responsibility that he vowed to make one another feel the bliss of happiness in marriage.
He did it. He kept his promises.
Changmin helped Jaejoong to sit comfortably on the bed. He was even kicking away the thick blanket for giving a space for his beloved wife to sit. He helped Jaejoong to wear the sweater which he has been holding for some times now and wiped way the remaining tears staining his wife’s face. Satisfied with his work, Changmin scoop Jaejoong away from the bed and placed his wife onto a chair at the make
