“Shim Changmin ssi, when your wife admitted to this hospital hours ago, we did some check up on him and found that he was having a minor ulcer in his stomach. However, you don’t have to worry about that as we did our part to cure him and fortunately the surgery didn’t affect the baby. Just give him more rest.” advised the doctor.

Changmin jotted down all the information he gained from the doctor into his mind. He thanks the doctor and walked out from the small cubical of the doctor’s room and reaching his wife’s ward. He entered the room and found his wife was still unconscious on the bed with his parents at his wife side.

“Eomoni, you may go home. I’ll take care of Jaejoong…” offered Changmin as he stood near to Mrs. Shim.

“But, Changmin… It’s all my faults… I care less about his health, I ...” Mrs. Shim kept mumbled her wrongs and Changmin had enough for his mom blaming herself alone. He loves his mom more.

“Eomoni, I’m telling you again, it’s not your fault. I bet Jaejoong will praise you for being the best mother-in-law for him. Eomoni may take your rest today as I am still here to look after Jaejoong, but tomorrow, the day after, I have no time to care much about Jaejoong. Again, I need your help. Please, Eomoni, today, get a full rest, okay?” Changmin kissed his mother’s forehead, hugging the old lady frame, indirectly showing his gratitude.

Mr. Shim brought his wife away from the ward room and left Changmin and unconscious Jaejoong, alone. Changmin took a seat close to Jaejoong’s bed and caressed his wife pale face with a very longing expression.

Changmin got off from his seat and walked to the nearby registration counter and found a few nurses were working there. He asked for a few clean towels and a small basin of fresh water. A nurse who spotted him as Dong Bang Shin Ki’s Choikang Changmin helped him and as returned, Changmin signed on her notebook, thanking her for the kindness.

He entered his wife’s ward again and settled down the thing he brought with him on the small table next to Jaejoong’s bed. Changmin started to wet the dry clean towel with the fresh water in a basin. He squeezed the towel until no water droplets and started to wipe his wife’s forehead. It’s hurt to see his wife lying weakly on the bed, but the chance to meet Jaejoong for a day make him smiles, alone. Unknowingly to him, he started to hum an unknown song that Jaejoong always hummed when he was doing the dishes.

Changmin wetted the towel again and this time he pressed the towel onto Jaejoong’s lips lightly to bring back its rosy color. The lips that brought him back to the past memory from the first time they met to the time he claimed those lips on their wedding day witnessed by many. The lips that always looked tempting each seconds never failed him to kiss his wife if he got the chances.

Changmin finished taking care of his wife by placing a few kisses on the pale face. How funny his life was. He was a married man and also the busy man who has no time even to meet his wife.

The clock on the wall strike 2.00 pm yet Changmin was still there, next to his wife since the morning. Jaejoong was still on the bed, showing no sign of waking up. The endless beeping sound from his phone annoyed Changmin as he scared his wife rest might get interrupt with the sounds.

Changmin took out his phone and found a lot of missed calls, voice mails and text messages received. He checked one by one and concluded all from the company, work call and one text message from his Yunho hyung, telling him he settled with the delayed on schedule and Changmin replied th
