[YuKwon's P.O.V]

I was laying on my bed and I was staring at the roof. The scene where ShinYeong begged me to remember her, it was so hurtful to see. I wanted to say :

"ShinYeong. I remember you."

I just couldn't, I was afraid that she'll be in danger again. I wanted to protect her from afar.. I just couldn't show my feelings for her, another time. I sat on my bed when someone knocked on my bedroom door, I said:

"Yes?"

My mum entered and I stood up in front of her, she put her right hand on my cheek and said:

"Be careful okay ?"

I nodded and sighed:

"Mum, I'm all grown up now, to go to this orphanage in the countryside , there's only 2 hours! and moreover, I won't be alone, you forced ShinYeong to go with me … Seriously..."

[End of YuKwon's P.O.V]

I was getting ready to go outside because YuKwon's mum was begging me to go somewhere with YuKwon. I went outside and YuKwon was leaning against his car. He was looking at the ground when he noticed me, he stared at me from head to toe. I recognized YuKwon’s eyes at this moment, it was the same eyes as the YuKwon I knew before. He then, cleared his throat and said coldly:

“Hurry up, or we’ll be late.”

I nodded and entered the car. During the whole ride , the atmosphere was awkward. I glanced at YuKwon, and my heart was beating really fast. Suddenly, he said:

“What ? Why are you staring at me ?”

I quickly looked at somewhere else, and looked in front of me. Then, I noticed a soft smile on his face.I shook my head and thought to myself:

“You’re just imagining things… ShinYeong. Remember, he doesn’t remember you.”

[YuKwon’s P.O.V]

I noticed that she was staring at me for a long time, I said:

“What? Why are you staring at me ?”

She quickly looked at somewhere else and looked in front of her. I thought that it was cute and smiled softly.

Infact, something was stuck in my mind.

[FlashBack]

I was walking in the street after my mum told me to buy some things. It was the night. When I heard someone talking on the phone really loudly :

“Ah ~~ Shut up,Stop screaming, I said I need to take some fresh air, I’ll be back ChangJo.”

I recognized this voice and turned around, it was L.Joe. My eyes widened, I stopped when something he said caught my attention:

“BWOH ?! Who did you see ? ShinYeong’s boyfriend ? YuKwon?”

I then, started to walk quickly, when suddenly, someone pushed hardly on the floor: I looked up and it was L.Joe. He looked angry, he sighed and said:

“What do you think you’re doing? Stop it, you know what I am talking about.”

I got up and started to walk away , he punched me and said:

“Answer me, seriously!”

But I decided to walk away again, when he grabbed my arm and punched me again while shouting:

“Don’t you hear me, Kim YuKwon?!”

I decided to punch him back.

After a while, we calmed down and sat on a bench.

L.Joe looked at me and said:

“If you miss Kim ShinYeong that badly, go talk to her instead of pretending that you don’t remember her! Don’t you know that she cried every nights because of you?!”

A tear rolled on my right cheek , I answered back:

“How did you know ?.. But I can’t ...You can have her , L.Joe.”

[End of the FlashBack]

[End of YuKwon’s P.O.V]

We finally arrived at the orphanage. When, YuKwon handed me a drink.

“Here, you must be thirsty. I bought it earlier.” We went out of the car and a lot of kids ran to us, and a little boy hugged my legs, I bent down and brush softly his bangs , he had a huge smile on his face. I asked him:

“What’s your name ?”

“Ji Hoo, I’m 3 years-old !”

After that; he left and played with the other kids. Some people then came and greeted us.

When we went in a room of the orphanage, YuKwon immediataly carried a baby in his arms, who was crying. The baby, finally calmed down and stared at YuKwon. YuKwon had a smile on his face and said:

“AnnYeong, baby.”

Unconsiously, I was smiling when, JiHoo waved his hands in front of me, he asked shyly:

“Can you play with me, please ?” he was looking at the floor, I smiled and pinched his cheeks:

“Sure.”

He jumped happily and sat down in front of me. I sat on the floor and we started playing. Later, he confessed:

“I don’t know my Umma, but I wish my Umma was like you...and for my Appa, I want an Appa like him !” He pointed at YuKwon, he continued:

“He looks strong ! He can protect me!”

He then ran somewhere else to play with his friends, I was still sitting on the floor , when YuKwon approached me and reached out his hand. I stared at it and held his hand tightly.

After a while, it was time to go home. JiHoo tugged to my shirt and said:

“Please, don’t you want to stay with me” He looked up and he had teary eyes. I patted his head softly and said:

“I’ll come visit you soon again, JiHoo.”

Finally, we reached home, we entered and nobody was at home. I then, noticed a little note :

“ My dear ShinYeong, and my son ! Your uncle/ dad and I received an urgent call so, we have to go abroad ! Take care of both of you , and don’t FIGHT! We love you both.

PS: Happy Birthday, my son. <3 “

[YuKwon’s P.O.V]

After reading, the little note, ShinYeong stared at me. I looked at her and said:

“What?”

She held something in the fridge and put it on the table in front of me, It was a birthday cake with :” Happy Birthday, Kim YuKwon ( little pig !).”

My eyes widened and I realized that it was the same cake as when we were in high school.

I looked up and saw that she was crying.

She whispered, but it was still audible for me :

“D-Do you think I’m stupid, Kim YuKwon?”

[End of YuKwon’s P.O.V]

I whispered:

““D-Do you think I’m stupid, Kim YuKwon?”

He turned around with a fist clentched when, I back-hugged him with my head leaning on his back, I started to speak louder:

“YuKwon, Why did you do that?! Why did you pretend not to remember me?!”

He remained silent, I continued:

“Don’t try denying it , Kim YuKwon. This morning, why did you buy a cold drink for me? We’re in winter. If you have forgotten me, why didn’t you buy me a hot drink. Ordinary people would have done that… Please… Act like before.”

He remained still. I started to hit his back:

“Kim YuKwon ! Why don’t you answer ?!”

I cried louder.

When suddenly, he turned around and hugged me tightly. He put his chin on my head and softly said:

“I’m s-sorry ShinYeong. I’m sorry for hurting you, I missed you”.

5 YEARS LATER.

I woke up and opened my eyes. YuKwon’s arm was on my waist. I stared at his face and touched softly his face. When he said with a husky voice:

“ Am I that handsome?”

I scoffed and got up, when the door opened and a little boy ran to us. He hugged YuKwon, YuKwon said:

“Did you sleep well, my baby?”

He nodded ,went to me, he went in front of me and patted my tummy:

“How is little sister doing?”

I chuckled and asked him :

“What if the baby inside my tummy, is a boy, JiHoo-ah?”

He shook his head and pouted:

“I’m sure, that the baby is a girl ! Appa is sure too !”

We then, laughed together, like a happy family. I thought in my mind:

“When I was little , I was hoping  by my own that my mum will come back someday. But YuKwon, who is now my husband, is another hope for me. When I was still blind , he gave me the strength and hope to live.”
