Chapter twenty-eight.
My new hope.
[L.Joe's P.O.V]
I slowly opened my eyes when I heard a whisper: It was ShinYeong's voice, she said:
"L.Joe...Don't go..."
I felt guilty at that moment because she didn't knew what my uncle wanted me to kill her...I looked for something in my pocket and it was ShinYeong's picture when we were little, when we first met in the hospital when she was crying, I took a picture of her secretely, there was another picture next, it was ShinYeong's picture, my uncle gave me: there was a huge red cross on her head. I sighed...
I closed my eyes and brushed softly her hair.

I woke up and it was the morning, I felt a hand on my head and it was L.Joe's hand. I smiled a bit, I didn't know why but my heart felt so safe when I was with him: I stood up but I noticed a picture in his right hand, I carefully took it and stared at it. My eyes widened and a smile appeared on my face, I whispered:
"I guess, that the fate has decided to reunite us...my hero who gave me strength to laugh and talk again..."
I chuckled a bit, when I took the other photo and my smile immediatly faded. My eyes got watery, I looked at the back of the photo, it was written : "ByungHun-Ah...Kill her. Or else you'll know what will happen to your mum. The same thing as your friend: Kim YuKwon."
When someone snatched the picture of my hands. It was L.Joe. He had his eyes widened. He started to say with a trembling voice:
"It's not what you think, ShinYeong."
He wanted to held my arm but I backed away and said harsly:
"D-Don't touch me."
He sighed. I continued:
"Don't come closer to me.."
"ShinYeong! You have to listen to me!" He grabbed my arms when I started to be afraid:
"LEAVE ME, You Liar !" I slapped him on his left cheek. He stayed silent for about 10 minutes. When I asked him with tears:
"You...Tell me honestly, Did you play with my feelings? Did you act when you cared for me when YuKwon left?"
He looked at me with sorrow eyes:
"I'm Sorry." He then walked near the door to leave the house.
He left the door opened, while I was watching his back. When he turned around, and smiled bitterly, I looked at his face with tears rolling down my face. He said softly:
"I just want to know...I want to know something...I mean, it's important for me to know that...I'm just asking you this thing, because I'm curious."
He sighed and continued, I didn't say anyting to him:
"Don't you love me? Don't you have a tiny feeling for me?"My eyes widened but I remained silent.
"I mean...after all the memories we have made together during these past years, don't you love me just a bit?"
I couldn't answer this question and I kept staring at him.
He looked away with his teary eyes and said:
"I just wanted to ask you this...That's all..."
He sighed and he didn't want to cry in front of me, he added one last thing:
"I've had enough now...I think, I understood now...I should move on now. Bye."
I still silent and stood at the same spot, when he really left, I fell down on the floor and burst out of crying...
It's been one week now, since L.Joe left. When someone call me: It was an unknown number, I decided to answer:
"Yeobosaeyo?"
"Ahw...Finally I can hear your little cute voice!" I was confused:
"Who is it?"
Before the man could answer, I heard someone screaming :
"NO! SHINYEONG! DON'T COME!"
My eyes widened when I recognized L.Joe's voice:
"ByungHun Oppa? Where are you? What happen ?!"
The man said:
"BEAT HIM! I TOLD YOU TO SHUT UP, YOU USELESS NEPHEW !"
I, then heard, L.Joe who was wincing in pain. I panicked and the man said with a chuckle:
"Come to this adress: ________________ . If you don't come, ByungHun will die."
Without thinking twice, I ran to this adress, when I arrived in an abandonned house, I ran inside, when a man grabbed harshly my hair an pushed me on the floor, I looked up and saw L.Joe who was on the floor with bruises everywhere.
The man chuckled and said:
"Now, L.Joe, it's the end for your love. You were useless … just like your dad."
L.Joe shouted:
"DON'T DO ANYTHING TO HER!" The man put his gun near my head, I didn't dare to move.
Suddenly, L.Joe stood up and punch his «uncle.» He came to me and said softly:
"ShinYeong, Run away."
I shook my head, when the man pointed his gun behind L.Joe, when he was talking to me. I came behind him and here, my eyes widened...I felt my body fell on the ground and the man was laughing evilly. L.Joe was surprised as well, when he took a gun on the floor and shoot his own uncle...
[L.Joe's P.O.V]
I couldn't breath properly, ShinYeong was my everything, I didn't want her to leave me. I came next to her and took her in my arms there was blood everywhere, my voice was trembling, I started to cry:
"Why did you protect me?! Why ?!"
She smiled a bit and managed to say:
"Does it hurt like that...when I rejected you...? I think the pain you felt in.... your heart is worst right?"
"Don't talk...Everything will be fine. Stop Talking, ShinYeong...Why?! Why?!"
She answered weakly:
"I'm thankful...because you were my new hope...you gave me a reason to live when we first met in the hospital and when YuKwon passed away...You saved me twice..."
I couldn't say anything:
"No! Stay with me !"
"You...know...what I've said, last time when I was angry at you...I...didn't mean it..."
Slowly, I felt her fainted in my arms.
"NO ! KIM SHINYEONG!"
