Sick.
Can I Have This Dance? [Discontinued]
The next morning was horrible... I woke up with a heavy pounding in my head, my eyes were teary and my nose was swollen... In short: I was sick.
"Sorin-ah, are you okay?" Yesung asked,
"Yeah you don't look very good," Ryeowook grimaced in sympathy,
"Are you kidding? She looks awful!" Leeteuk beamed worriedly,
Thanks Leeteuk...
"Are you sick?" Kyuhyun came and touched my forehead, "Damn you're burning!"
"I'm fine!" I said, but with my dry throat, it was more like a groan,
"I can cook an egg using your body heat right now!" Kyuhyun hissed,
"Morning," Eunhyuk greeted tiredly, coming out of his room,
"Your sister is sick," Heechul stated,
"WHAT??" Eunhyuk jerked his head up and ran to me, "OH MY GOD! MY BABY SIS! ARE YOU OKAY? DOES YOUR BODY HURT ANYWHERE?"
"I'm okay Oppa! Just caught a little cold it's nothing!" I reassured him,
"Sorin-ah you're sick?"
I turned my head and saw Donghae coming down the stairs,
"Just a little but it's nothing,"
He came and touched my forehead too, "You're a little hot! I'm sorry it's my fault," he said,
"Of course not! How could we know it would rain?"
"Well I should've bought you something warmer than that dress yesterday," he said,
"You bought her a dress?" Kyuhyun asked,
"They went on a date yesterday," Leeteuk said from the couch
"A WHAT?" all the boys yelled,
I winced. My head hurt so much.
"Guys! Not so loud!" Donghae scolded, covering my ears with his palms,
"Why did you guys go on a date?” Eunhyuk asked,
“It’s complicated,” Donghae said, scratching the back of his head,
“Leader-nim’s idea,” I sniffed, pointing at Leeteuk,
The next minute, they all crowded around Leeteuk, asking him millions of questions about our date even thought he didn’t know anything except that he suggested us to do it. Only Donghae, Kyuhyun and I reminded seated at the table.
“Sorin-ah, you should go to rest,” Kyuhyun said,
“Yeah, I’ll explain to Hyuk about yesterday. Go to sleep,” Donghae smiled,
“But I can’t I have rehearsals today,” I coughed,
“With your condition you’ll just ruin everything! We’ll tell BoA that you can’t make it today don’t worry,” Kyuhyun reassured me,
About 20 minutes later, the boys had to go for schedules so I was left alone at home, in my bed, with about 10 blankets over me. I felt horrible. The thing I hated the most was my runny nose.
While I was coughing my guts out, my phone rang.
“Hello?” I picked up,
“Sorin-ah!” Yun’s voice rang, “Were are you? You left me alone with that witch!”
“Sorry Yun-ah,” I said apologetically, this might be the worst thing we could do to each other,
“Minhee Unni told me about you. Are you okay?” she asked,
“Yeah, I’m okay. Just caught a little cold, nothing bad,” I reassured her,
She sighed, “Then get well soon! ‘Cause I really don’t want to spend too much time with her without you!”
“Okay,” I smiled,
“Oh! And don’t forget that-“
“IS THAT LEE SORIN?” a voice suddenly yelled through the phone,
Oh God…
“Y-Yes?”
“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING? JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE HEADACHE DOESN’T MEAN YOU CAN SKIP PRACTICE! STOP THINKING THAT BECAUSE YOU’RE EUNHYUK’S LITTLE SISTER THAT YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING YOU WANT!” Minhwa’s voice echoed,
“I-“
“GET YOU’RE OVER HERE!” she yelled and hung up,
What the?
I sighed. Should I listen to her? She’s our “leader” after all… But Eunhyuk told me to stay home or he’ll call our Mom over and I really don’t want to bother her for that. But again, if I don’t go, Kwon Minhwa is going to kill me!
I felt my forehead. I wasn’t that hot. I looked at the clock. It was 9AM. I quickly got up and changed into warm clothes, took my medicine and headed to the bus station. I probably looked weird with a scarf and a sweater in the middle of summer but I didn’t want to get sicker.
When I arrived, everyone was surprised to see me. Only she was the one yelling at me.
“Why are you so late Lee?” she started walking toward me with her hands on her hips, “Since when do you miss practice for some random cold?” she said pushing my forehead.
Huh. My head hurt so much from the screaming and the pushing, so I kept it down, pretending I’m feeling guilty. I looked up a little and met Yun’s eyes. She was giving me a sad and worried look.
“Now get ready with the others,” she said, “DID YOU HEAR ME?” she yelled,
I winced. What’s with the noise today?
“Y-Yes,” I nodded,
“You guys practice alone! I’m going out,” she said and left,
“Sorin!” Yun ran to me, “Why did you come? You shouldn’t have!” she said touching my head,
“I had to, or she was going to drive me nuts,” I said, “Let’s just do it. The earlier we begin the earlier we finish,”
And this practice session was the hardest of my whole career. After just half an hour of dancing I was already out of breath and couldn’t see clearly. Being sick really didn’t help. Another half hour passed and I was exhausted. Fortunately the others weren’t like Minhwa and they knew that I obviously couldn’t go on or I’d pass out.
“Sorin-ah you should get some rest!” Yun said, “Just go home, we can practice without you, and Minhwa won’t know since she’s out already,”
“Thanks,” I said,
Gosh I hated this! Back in New York I used to be worst than that but it didn’t affect my dancing at all. Why was it different here?
Hey guys! New chapter here. It's been a while I know. I'm really sorry.
Some of you might have read the little text I posted here a few weeks ago about the Sewol ferry tragedy. I know you might get bored or depressed by reading this but I felt like I needed to share this with you guys.
Since I'm a bit of a maniac, it bothered me to have a "Not a chaper" title with the rest. So I'm going to delete the previous message. If you still want to read it, it is in my blog articles.
Also I wanted to ask you guys if you knew a good way to do some advertisement for my story that doesn't involve posting a message on every user's wall on AFF. My sister told me about recommendation directories or something like that. But I'm not really familiar with this. Could you guys help me out?
