Can I Have This Dance? [Discontinued]
(Siwon POV)
We stayed at the bar a couple more hours and decided to go home. It was kind of late so we took a cab. When we arrived at the dorm, Sorin took her keys out and unlocked the door. Suddenly I remembered something,
“Sorin!” I quickly grabbed her wrist before she could open the door,
“What’s wrong Oppa?” she asked a bit surprised,
“I-I… Err…” I thought of an excuse, “I want to go to the convenient store to buy something. Can you come with me?” I asked,
“Sorry Oppa… But I’m a bit tired. I think I’ll just go and rest a bit,” she smiled apologetically,
I don’t want you to feel sorry! I just don't want you to go in because there are 9 idiots waiting for you with a surprise party behind this door,
“C’mon pleeeease. I don’t want to go alone,” I pouted, sounding like a 5 year-old child who wants an ice cream,
“Maybe some other day Oppa. Sorry. And thanks for today,” she said and tried to open the door,
“Wait!” I stopped her again,
“What is it?” I could see a slight annoyed look in her eyes,
I stupidly looked around the place, as if the solution would be written somewhere, and my eyes fell on her shoes. Thank you Lord!
“Your laces are undone,” I said,
“Oh,” she said, “Thanks,” and she bent down,
Meanwhile, I took my phone and sent a text to Eunhyuk, telling him to not do the party. I never wrote a text that fast…
“I’m done,” Sorin got up,
Why times passes so quickly?
“Silly,” I awkwardly chuckle, “You did it wrong,” I said even if she did them perfectly, “I’ll do it for you,”
I bent down and untied her shoes to redo them as slowly as I could. This situation was totally ridiculous and this was the lamest excuse I could come up with… Why would she tie up her shoes when she’s going to take them off once in the dorm? Choi Siwon, you’re pointless…
I took my time to finish, in order to make sure the guys have removed everything.
“Can you do it?” Sorin asked, a bit impatient,
“Yeah I’m almost done,” I said,
Once I thought enough time has passed, I stoop up and smiled,
“Thanks,” Sorin said, not noticing anything strange,
She turned to the door and I sighed of relief. I was hoping so hard that they weren’t waiting for her behind the door, that I thought my heart was about to burst into pieces. The guys should have managed everything in there, so it must be clear.
Sorin opened the door, revealing a bunch of kids with triangle hats on their heads and throwing confetti all over her. There was a huge banner with ‘Congratulations’ written on it.
I slapped my forehead. Morons…
“Congrats, Sorin!” they all yelled, “You’ve worked hard!”
I nervously looked at them, shaking my head, forming a cross with my arms and mouthing a ‘NO’. But they kept on cheering. Really these guys…
The loud applause and shouting quiet down and Eunhyuk stepped foreword, “I’m so proud of you my little sister!” he said putting his hand on her shoulder,
This is making her even worst!
Sorin just stood there, not saying anything. I expected her to burst into tears. I expected her to run and lock herself in her room. I even expected her to stay like that, motionless… But I didn’t expect her to…
“HAHAHAHAHA! YOU GUYS ARE SO FUNNY! HAHA! YOU REALLY DID THINK I WOULD SUCCESS? HAHA, C’MON I WASN’T THAT GOOD! AND I DIDN’T EVEN PLAN ON WINNING ANYWAY!” She laughed like crazy, but I could feel pain in her voice,
The members were wordless. It was hard for them to realize what was happening.
“Ah! I’m tired. I’m going to sleep! Night Oppas!” she waved at us and went upstairs to her room.
The dorm went silent for what felt like eternity. Suddenly, Eunhyuk grabbed my shoulders, “Siwon-ah! What happened? Why is Sorin like this? Why did she say she didn’t get in?” he shook me,
“Hyuk-ah, calm down!” I said, “Let go!”
He let go of me and I straightened myself. Then I started telling them everything. When I was finished, their faces showed disbelief, confusion, sadness and anger. Especially Eunhyuk.
“What is wrong with them? She was amazing, how could they do this?” he protested,
“Maybe they didn’t like how she didn’t prepare anything…” Ryeowook supposed,
“But isn’t that a good thing? Being able to improvise something that great in the instant is awesome!” Kyuhyun pointed out,
“It’s weird… I never thought Sooman would judge her from that,” Donghae said, “He even gave her a chance,”
“I have to call him!” Eunhyuk got up and patted his pocket, “Where is my phone?” he asked, “Aish… I left it at the company,” he sighed,
I see now why they didn’t take off the decoration!
“Hae give me your phone!” he said,
“Hyuk. Calling him won’t change anything,” Donghae said,
“You know how he is. When he makes a decision, it’s impossible to make him change his mind!” Sungmin said,
“I have to talk to him!” Eunhyuk protested,
Leeteuk stood up and made Eunhyuk sit down, “There’s nothing we can do about that. Let’s deal with this tomorrow. It’s late now. Siwon you should sleep here, it’ll be safer,” he sighed,
I nodded and we all went to sleep. I slept in Shindong’s room, because it was the only one with a vacant bed. I collapsed on the bed and closed my eyes.
Tomorrow is going to be a long day…

“Morning!” we heard Sorin’s voice sing,
“Morning Sorin,” I smiled,
“What’s for breakfast?” she asked,
“Rolled eggs,” Ryeowook said from the kitchen,
“Yay! I love rolled eggs!” she clapped her hand, a bit too cheerful to be natural,
“Did you sleep well?” Donghae asked her,
“Of course! I slept like a baby!”
“More like a panda,” Heechul, who was the nearest to her, poked her cheek,
He was right. She had big dark circles under her eyes that made her look like a panda…
Aish… I sighed. This was worst than I though… I looked at Eunhyuk. He was lifelessly poking his omelette with his fork and I could see that he didn’t sleep well either. I don’t know if it’s genetics, but they have the exact same panda eyes. I kicked him under the table and gave him a ‘Say something!’ look, but nothing.
Sorin sat next to him and started eating her egg. There was an awkward silence and she noticed it, “Why are you guys so quite? Wake up here!” she said looking at us, “Lazy people,” she laughed,
I gave another kick to Eunhyuk. He sighed, “Sorin-ah…” he finally opened his mouth,
“Hmm?” she chewed on her food,
“Are you okay?” he asked,
“Yeah why?”
“Stop acting like this…” he sighed, “It kills me to see you like this…”
“Like what?”
“You don’t need to act strong in front of us. It’s obvious that you’re not fine,”
“I’m okay! I’m in a super good mood! You know what? Let’s go to the restaurant tonight! It’s my treat! Eat as much as you w-“
“SORIN!” Eunhyuk raised his voice, “You don’t even have a job to pay for a meal,”
Her shoulder fell, along with her face, “I’m okay,” she muttered,
Eunhyuk turned to her and hugged her. What a sweet siblings picture!
“Don’t worry!” Eunhyuk said, “I’m going to yell at the judges for having my baby sister crying,” she sniffed,
“C’mon,” Kyuhyun came in, “It’s not like it was your only chance. There are plenty of other opportunities!”
“That’s right!” Eunhyuk looked at her, “And you’ll definitely get in!”
She smiled and hugged him back, “Thank you Oppas. You guys are the best!
“Sorin-ah!” we heard Sungmin’s voice ring, “You have a call!”
Sungmin came to give her her phone. Pikachu ringtone. Cute.
She thanked him and looked at the ID picture, “Who is this?” she whispered, “Hello? – Yes, it’s me. – Oh, g-good morning. – Yes I did. – Why? – WHAT?” Sorin suddenly shot up of her chair, making Eunhyuk jump in surprise,
What was going on?
“Excuse me,” she apologized for yelling,
She was speaking with formalities. Who was it? She didn’t know anybody in Seoul except us.
“I don’t understand. – Really? – O-Okay. – I-I’ll be there,”
Where?
“Thank you…” she said and hung up,
“Who was it?” Eunhyuk asked immediately,
Sorin just stood there, looking at nowhere, opened.
“Sorin?” Leeteuk waved his hand in front of her eyes,
“Who was it? What did they say?” Kyuhyun kept asking,
No matter how much questions we asked her, she didn’t move a bit, making us wait in frustration,
“Sorin!” Eunhyuk shook her,
“Oppa…” she finally spoke,
“What?”
“Pinch me,”
“Huh?”
“Pinch me please,”
Eunhyuk hesitantly brought his hand to her cheek and strongly pinched it.
“OWW!” she yelled in pain, “Oh my God!” she exclaimed,
“What? Sorin! Who was it?”
“Oppa…” her eyes got watery and a smile drew on her face, “It was a manager from SM,” she continued,
“And what?” we all asked impatient,
“I... I didn’t get to the second round of the audition because… because they want me to immediately debut as a dancer!”
“Huh?” all our eyes widened,
“THEY SAID I CAN DEBUT AS A DANCER RIGHT TOMORROW!” she jumped in happiness,
“REALLY?”
She nodded and Eunhyuk lifted her in a hug, “I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT! MY LITTLE SISTER IS THE BEST!”
“Congrats Sorin!” everyone cheered,
“Let’s go to the restaurant to celebrate this! And it’s our treat!” Leeteuk said,
“YEAH!”
I'm really really really sorry I haven't updated in 2 MONTHS!
I had exams and all the craps that come with it so I couldn't update sooner.
Yay! Sorin got in SM! I’m sure you guys thought she failed ^^ But she did even better than winning the auditions.
