“Hyung! I don’t think I’m ready to meet her yet.” Seungri whined. Taeyang glared at him.

"I can’t believe it’s her. The girl I humiliated is working at the same company as me. Out of all the places, she chose YG." Jiyong thought. Daesung who  noticed the leader’s unusual behaviour wrapped his hands around his shoulder. “Hyung, you’re unbelievably quiet today.” He winked.

Jiyong shrugged. They walked along the hallway of the broadcast station and were greeted by the artists doing their round of promotions. Once again, they stood infront of Sandara’s dressing room. Jiyong took a deep breath.

Taeyang slowly opened the door and was greeted by Jae Wook. “Oh hyung!” Jae Wook laughed and punched his arm lightly. He beckoned the boys to come inside.

The members of Big Bang entered the room one by one. They greeted the staff politely and even made the effort to talk to some of them.

“There she is!” Jiyong heard the make-up artist say out loud. He turned around unaware of the sight waiting for him.

And there she was. YG’s new rookie. Sandara Park. She entered the room in such a shy way. Jiyong couldn’t help but stare at her.

“Dara yah!” Taeyang yelled. Dara gasped. “Omo! Oppa!”

"Oppa?" Jiyong stood quietly and watched the interaction between his best friend and YG’s new rookie.

“We came in earlier but you weren’t here.” Taeyang ruffled Dara’s hair. “Chincha? I must’ve been in the change rooms.” Dara smiled and took a sip out of the water bottle she was holding. Taeyang playfully wrapped his arm around Dara’s delicate shoulder. 

“They look close.” Dara’s stylist & make-up artist whispered to one another. Jiyong furrowed his eyebrows.

“Let’s meet the rest of Big Bang, neh?” Taeyang nudged Dara. “Babo! I’ve already met them oppa! We went to the same school together!” She faked a laugh. Taeyang made an O shape when he heard Dara’s response. “Uh, true. Well, it has been a long time.”

Seungri walked over and bowed in front of Dara. “Annyeong haseyo.” His lips trembled. Surprised by his actions, Dara couldn’t help but giggle. “You didn’t have to do that, Seungri.”

“You know my name?”

“Neh. How could I forget?” Dara smirked and turned towards Jiyong.

He gulped. “Nice to see you again, Jiyong.” She said flatly. He avoided her eye contact and just nodded. Dara could tell her was nervous and somehow, she liked it.

Dara and Youngbae continued talking to each other while the rest of the members kept themselves busy by either fiddling with their phones or watching the rest of the performances of other groups on the flat screen  TV.

After several minutes, the show producer appeared at the door. “Miss Dara, you need to be at the backstage area now as we’ll be announcing today’s winner shortly.”

Dara looked at Taeyang. “Go.” He pushed her. Dara nodded and ran towards the backstage area. She heard the staff wishing her good luck. All of the artists made their way on the stage. Dara stood beside several male idol groups. The members of these groups were all shocked. “She’s a pretty noona.” Onew drooled. “I wonder if she’s single.” Yong Hwa smiled. “She should’ve chosen JYP.” Wooyoung sighed.

Not paying attention to their actions, Dara focused her gaze on her parents who were pumping their fists in their air and shouting fighting over and over again. Dara turned red the instant she saw what her parents were doing. However, she was thankful for them to be there as she feels a bit of weight has been lifted off her shoulders.

“And now the moment you’ve been waiting for yeorubun!” Dara eyed the guest host, Song Joong Ki. “This week’s Inkigayo winner is SANDARA PARK!”

Dara gasped the moment she heard her name. Clearly, she wasn’t expecting herself to win.The audience clapped loudly and chanted her name. She bowed to the artists beside her. Song Joong Ki handed her trophy and gave her a bouquet of flowers. Dara bowed and smiled. He blushed and then gave Dara the microphone.

She slowly made her way towards the centre of the stage and cleared . “First of all, I would like to thank YG sajangnim for giving me the opportunity to debut. Thank you for believing in me. To Teddy, Kush, Choice37 oppa, thank you!! To the Hi-tech and Crazy dance team, thank you for helping me improve my poor dance skills. A big thanks to the stylists team for always doing a great job. To my Big Bang sunbaes, thank you for showing your support today..” Dara scanned the crowd. She stared at her parents. “Omma, Appa , thank you for coming as well. I promise to work hard and will do my best to fulfill both of your dreams. I love you! And lastly, to the people who believed in me right from the start, kamsahamnida! YG Family fighting!!” Dara threw her fists in the air.

The crowd couldn’t help but laugh at her cuteness. She bowed and left the stage with a wide smile on her face.

All of the staff clapped their hands as soon as Dara entered her dressing room. Her parents were crying. She gave them a big hug and kissed both on the cheek. “Omma, you shouldn’t cry. You’ll get wrinkles.” Ji-Hyo pinched her cheeks.  “Aish! You cheeky girl. Omma and Appa are very proud of you.” She sniffed.

YG entered the room and gave Dara a pat on the back. “Keep it up.”

The members of Big Bang congratulated her except for Jiyong who kept his distance. Somehow, he still feels uncomfortable having her around.  Dara noticed his actions and chose to ignore him as well. “You ignore me, I ignore you.” She thought to herself.
