Author’s POV

            “ So, you two are going to Seoul today? “ A late aged woman, shoot a casual question towards the two figures who just sat across her place. They were now seated themselves comfortably, circling onto the old wooden dining table. A set of meals were prepared and arranged in such way before them, as its smell spoiled their sense pleasurably. It didn’t take too long before a man on his mid twenty raised his head facing the women with a slight smile hang on his manly-featured face.

            “ Yes, about my previous lame excuses, I’m really sorry… “ He reasoned himself first, kind of guilty for not being honest when his first arrival. Soon he could finally release a sigh of relief, upon seeing the woman nodded in such understanding way. “We’ll be coming back here as soon as possible after I finish my undone business there…” He added.

            A curve of smile plastered on her weary face. “ It’s alright, you can take your time but please… take care of my lovely granddaughter here, she’s kind of reckless sometimes. You have to get used to her ‘special’ trait…” She exclaimed excitedly while making a short glance to the dark complexion young women in front of her.

            “ Halmeoni! How could you say things like that? Besides, I’m not that reckless…” Yuri shifted her gaze voluntarily upon realizing herself became a victim of the conversation. She folded her arms in displeased as her face redden displayed her inner embarrassment.

            “ Says the one who burned the bacons while sleeping during cooking…” Another voice joined in from behind, and turned out, it was belong to Seohyun. She brought along a teapot with her as she seated herself next to her grandmother. She placed the teapot on the table before pouring its content to each person’s cup carefully.

            “ Aish… That was just once! “ Yuri defended herself quickly. She gave her sister a glare in return for embarrassed herself in front of her newly husband. She didn’t want to lose face even for a bit, especially to the man she had been trying so hard to impress.

            “ No, unnie, that’s the third time already…”

            “ Thanks, Seo. Now, can you please stop mocking at me? I want to eat like peacefully…” She answered sarcastically before shoved a chop of plain pancake to . Yuri rolled her eyes as she caught them burst into peals of laughter upon seeing her childish behavior came out. She couldn’t help it though, as when he came to the picture, her family member were nothing but a tease towards her. She kept munching her foods, not giving any more attention to them as their laughter went down sooner.

            “ I’ll be back soon, take care of halmeoni…” Yuri hugged her sister tightly as she had been ensured her for the millionth times already. Being the oldest one makes her having a care and responsible nature, especially to the family issues –in this case her ailing beloved grandmother who had been taken care of her since she was just a kid. Her younger sister nodded while giving her a reassuring smile in return.

            “ It’s okay, you can trust me, unnie… I won’t let something bad happen during your absence. Halmeoni will be on the right hand and I’ll make sure everything is under control. Arasso? “ Seohyun raced down the vows smoothly without any difficulty, much to her sister’s satisfaction.

            Yuri couldn’t help but curved a satisfied smile upon hearing her sister’s remark. “ Arasso, Seohyunnie baby! I’ll bring your favorite food when I come back later…” She poked her sister’s nose playfully, while she watched her eyes gleaming with joy. Despite herself acting mature sometimes, she was just a baby sister afterall.

            “ Really? “ Seohyun had her eyes widened in surprises.

            “ Yes. Goguma as you wished! “ Yuri replied shortly while shrugged her shoulder nonchalantly. She could feel her sister leap with sudden joy as she began to shake her arms like a maniac.

            “ Kyaaa… Thanks, unnie… Be back soon and take care! “

            “ Alright… Bye! “

            Yuri waved her sister goodbye, as she began to step out the house. Right beside her, the tall and broad figure walked along synchronizing her fast pace. She swung her legs freely, while breathed herself a fresh morning air to her lungs. She always loves the feeling when the warm sunlight kissed her face gently or when the breeze played along with her dress. She was the type to enjoying every little piece of happiness in her life.

            As she had her mind focused to the small detail she adored, a pair of pierce gaze glancing intensely at her. It was such a relief having to see her usual self of being bright and happy bounced back to its place. He was always loves seeing her playful nature –it was somehow bringing a warm sensation to his heart. He couldn’t help but stole a glance everytime she closed her eyes in the process of resting her mind for awhile.

            “ It’s gonna be a long day! Yuri-ah fighting! “ She let out her habit –self motivated herself. Tao couldn’t control his urge for not laughing upon seeing her adorable act that drew him into her effortless charm even more.

            Yuri hit his arms playfully, while pouted her lips afterward. She had no idea of why did her heart pounding so fast when she was being with him like something rushed inside her body. She shook the thoughts away not wanting to dwelling with such things.

Yuri’s POV

            “ Are you serious about the apartment? “ I fastened my step, trying to matching his pace. He was really a fast walker in fact I had almost lost my breath for hang on to his coattail. I caught a glimpse at him, as he didn’t seem to perspire or tired by walking with such rhythm. Oh, yeah right, look at the lower side of him. He had a pair of long leg for God’s sake!

            He turned around, as our gaze met from the sudden movement. He examined my body for a minute or so before let out an unexpected comment, causing me to startle in surprised.

            “ Yes. Are you tired already? “

            “ No…”

I immediately shook my head in denial though it was total obvious for him to catch my exhausted looks written all over my face. Seoul was really a big city, considering we’ve been running for more than ten minutes among the sea of people. I took amount of air for me to breaths properly. He focused his sight on me, as I began to feel uneasy with his intense stare.

            “ Yah! I’m not tired. Now, it would be much helpful if you tell me that we’ll be reached your so-called-apartment soon…” I muttered plainly. To be honest, my legs were sore already, after the non-stop evening walking.

            I roamed my eyes observing the unfamiliar environment I haven’t seen much in my lifetime. It was out of my prediction, when he took a step forward and without any warning, carried me bridal style in such a fast motion. My sense finally back to its place, as I caught people staring at us with such weird gaze captured on their faces.

            “ Yah! Put me down, I can walk myself…”

            I tried to cover my face using my clothes, not wanting anyone to take a better vision on me. I whispered louder this time round, so that he would understand and did what I wished him to do.

            “ Tao, please, people sees us with such strange look upon their faces! “

            “ But you said you are tired…” He replied back nonchalantly not even bother to look into my direction. His eyes were fixed on the road in front of him. I couldn’t help it when I began to sink my head into his chest, avoiding the stares people might throw on me. I felt his manly scent twirling around my nose, its smells was kind of intoxicating. I gulped down my saliva, when the sudden thought dwelled inside my wrecked brain.

            “ I didn’t say it. I’m not tired, now let me down…”

            “ But, your face said otherwise…”
