Author’s POV

            The sounds of chirping birds pierced through her sense. It always brought tranquility and wonderful sensation to her sentimental side. She used to stay there for a moment, just to enjoy her solitude and renewing her weary soul. It was the place she grew up with and nothing could beat its capability to make her feel better –even with the most difficult things.

            Yuri closed her eyes, feeling the sensation when the cold breeze brushed her face gently. She couldn’t help when she began to take off her slippers and started to run like a wild child. She nearly forgot about her problem, or anything that might bug her mind lately. Right now she doesn’t care with anything at all. She just wanted to feel a little piece of peacefulness that earth provided to someone like her.

            She kept running and dancing like it was her own stage. Her mind focused with whatever she did just now. The evening warmth increased her urge to lying herself on the green colored grass. Things had never been this perfect –beautiful moment with beautiful place.

            Yuri wasn’t aware with someone’s presence as she was too busy with her own imaginary world. A man walked his way towards her –a slight smile curved on his lips as he captured her image with such a distance.

            She began to catch her sense back, upon sensing the sounds of footstep came from apart. She forced her eyes to cracked open, and with that, she spotted a figure came approach her direction. Yuri got her eyes widened in surprise with his unexpected visit. She didn’t know he will found her here –she never tells him about her secret hideout. Her eyes furrowed due to amount of confusion she held inside.

            “ How do you know I’m here? “ She reluctantly asked. The man stood before her while roaming his eyes to the picturesque scenery. She was right this place was indeed beautiful and gave such a peace and calm feeling. Something people craved a lot recently –runaway from the harsh reality.

            He smiled.

            “ Seohyun…” He was still busy admiring the beauty of nature with his own eyes as he didn’t even divert his gaze away from the scenery.

            “ Figure out…”

            Tao settled his gaze on her and caught her figure trying to get up from her position. She spruced herself up, acknowledged with his intense glance towards her. She startled when she noticing his fierce gaze but managed to control herself and began to act natural. Despite her uncontrollable heartbeat inside, she displayed such a calm looks on the surface.

            “ You like to be here? “ He wanted to know more about her, that’s why he decided to keep asking her a question. He saw her inhaling air for breath, as her eyes staring blankly at the green ground –Tao followed her sight in the process.

            “ To tell the truth, I like it a lot… It’s the only place I could just sit all day and enjoying my time alone…”

            He couldn’t help but learned her face closely from such distance. Her beauty caught his guard down, as if he wanted to let her entering his life. Her cheerful and bubbly attitude was something he loves a lot –though, he was kind of disappointed when she lost her positivity the moment he came into the picture.

            “ What about you? Do you like it? “ Yuri shoot him a casual question, as she began to diverted her sight into his direction. She found his flustered look upon his face –she couldn’t help but let out a small chuckled.

            “ Y-Yeah… It’s really nice being here…” He paused only to spot her adorable round eyes –Yuri found her nervousness increasing the moment he landed his beautiful eyes on her. “ But, I like beaches more… I could just walk and listen to the sounds of crashing waves on the shore…”

            “ Really? “

            “ Y-Yeah…”

            “ Then we have to go there someday. It had been ages since I last stepped my foot there…” Yuri clapped her hands in joy. He smiled to her in return –her small gestures could bring out the spirit within. Seeing her smiling made him realized, that the amazing thing could come from the simplest action.

            The two weary souls lost themselves in utter silence as the two sunk on their deep thoughts. It wasn’t an awkward silence, yet it was such a comfortable one. Only their breathing sounds and the winds broke the serenity but in a good way, though.

            The sun began to return to its place, and the dark will be taking over anytime soon.

            “ Hey, it’s getting dark… why don’t we go home now? “

            Yuri took a deep breath before facing him and nodded her head afterward.

            “ Sure…”

            With that the couple made their way leaving the hill behind. There was such an invisible connection between the two souls that nobody could understand. It was kind of real but looks like they didn’t know it yet –Let the time do the rest.

Yuri’s POV

            I was pacing back and forth, as my eyes keep focused on my reflection through the mirror. There was no words that could portray how chaotic my heart inside. No words not even a beautiful poet had capability to show how worse my mind at this kind of state. There was nothing I could do but sighing for numerous times already since this morning had started. Hell, it didn’t even lessen my insanity from doing what I might regret later.

            The more I think about it, the more it began to affect my life as a whole. I might talk, laugh, smile, yet I had no any idea of what I was doing. Like there was some screw loose up from my head and causing me to lose my sanity. The amount of thoughts I held inside, it was enough to shatter me to the lowest level. And now I finally face the biggest fear that had been haunting me like a first heartbreak.

            I stared intensely on my own image. Halmeoni was right, the dress fits perfectly on me –it give silhouette of my curves even better. I couldn’t deny that I was looking so great with the whole outfit, yet still –something was amiss. The make up I wore couldn’t seem to hide my anxiety –it was clearly captured on my face, people had a high chance to notice it. Am I even ready for this?

            “ Unnie… It’s time…”

            I swore my body went paralyzed for a brief moment. If it wasn’t for the fact that Seohyun pulled my helpless body along with her, I might still standing foolishly by the mirror. My heartbeat pumped faster and I almost had a small heart attack, as I sensed some pairs of eyes watching me. Maybe I looked like a stupid clown on carnival, or perhaps a who had herself knitted a tie for her suicidal –or even both.

            My legs got wobbly as I walking down the aisle –thanks to Uncle Kang who helped me gaining my balance. Well, he was my mother’s relatives, the one that still keep in touch with me and Seohyun eversince my parent passed away. I roamed my eyes across the room, and saw some familiar faces watched me in return. There were immigration officials who I acknowledged as Mr. Park and Mr. Byun, not to mention Mr. Kim, the department head, and some people I haven’t even saw before. No friends, no cheering from the bridesmaids like I always imagined.
