I scoffed. Everyone in the hallway turned their heads as soon as I slammed open the doors. Humans. Most of them at least. I sense something here. It's stronger power from the seventh plane. Right, I almost forgot most of you are mortals, too. All right, let me make this simple for you. There are seven planes, that I know of (the Universe is a tricky being), in this realm. Planes are like levels of existence. In reality, humans can only see the first plane. This is why you people don't believe in monsters. If you can't see them, they're not real. A foolish concept, if you ask me. There are, however, special contact lenses or glasses you can buy to see into the third or fourth plane (at most). Demons and monsters are also ranked by these planes. All supernatural beings can see onto the first through fourth levels without the help of crap lenses. The higher level demon it is, the higher the level it can see. The lower level demons are able to cloak themselves (change forms or become invisible) up to the third plane. Higher levels can cloak onto the sixth plane. Though cloaking is a handy ability, it requires much essence (supernatural effort that is hard, not impossible, to regain once wasted) so most demons prefer to cloak only when necessary. It is impossible to cloak on the seventh plane since it is your true form. You could also a only check one plane at a time, otherwise your brain would be destroyed from the chaos. I'm special. Not human, not demon. Slayer. I am capable of seeing up to the sixth plane and sensing the seventh. I can cloak up to the sixth plane, though I don't need to. I appear to be human on every plane anyway. Perks of being born with a mortal form. This is how I am able to hunt. I have to train to achieve sight on the planes. After I slay all the monsters here, I can achieve the seventh plane. Understand? Now let me get back to my story.

I scanned the area on the six planes I had access to. Humans, all lacking aura. A cold air distilled upon me. I sensed something. From the seventh plane. I ran through the group of girls that had slowly clumped around me since I set foot into this school. "Hey cutie! Where are you going?" This one seems to be the leader of the pack. She butted in front of me. She had her bright red hair tied neatly into a bun and her arms around my neck.

"Away from you." I scowled as I pulled her arms off of me. I tracked the sense around the school until I finally reached the source. A girl. Isolated with long, messy blonde hair tied back into a high ponytail. Simple. Black pullover with skinny jeans and black converse. She looked human on all six planes but she had a luminous aura. There was something special about her. Magic. She seemed human, but glowed brightly on all other planes. I walked up to her and turned her to me. She looked surprised, but cute. Practically no make-up. She smiled and felt my forehead. "Excuse me, gwenchanayo?" I felt myself turn red as all the girls behind me gasped. Turn red? Wait, what? Emotions? I'm not even human. My ears twitched to the murmurs behind me. I scanned her carefully and pushed her bangs out of her face. Something about her made me smile. It was a strange feeling.

"What the hell? Of all girls, why that loser?"

"She's not even that pretty."

The red headed girl butted between us. "Jeogiyo, oppa. Eunji-imnida. What's your name?" Her hands were on my chest. "Aish. Your heart is beating so rapidly around me."

"Funny. I don't have a heart." The blonde haired girl laughed, making me smile again. Naive. She thinks I was joking. I DID say I wasn't human. I actually don't have a heart. I'm a slayer. In order to master my powers, I'm supposed to cut off all human ties and emotions. But, why am I feeling this way? Why around her? I grabbed her wrist and pulled her aside. I heard the girls practically faint as I leaned into her. "Who are you?" I whispered into her ear.

"Lee Chaerin-imnida." Her innocence made me laugh. Has she never been asked this before?

"Anni." I reworded my question carefully. I cleared my throat. Socializing with people is so damn complicated. "What are you?"
