She doesn't want to think much about it but Taeyeon and this guy are seriously getting much too close. Ever since he came to the school, girls are fawning over him because she has to admit, the guy is definitely good looking. However, he seems quiet, snobbish and doesn't like to interact at all. That's why she's confused as to why he talks to Taeyeon a lot.

Taeyeon never really mentions him when she's with her. Except for that time on the rooftop when she asked her about the new student. Taeyeon was talking about that new guy and she wonders why it was a big deal to Taeyeon. And knowing her friend, she isn't the type to be all friendly with random guys. But is that guy really just a random guy?

Her curiosity is eating her so she makes a mental note to ask Taeyeon about that. The problem is, she gets distracted when the shorter girl is around. Never before has she felt this way about her friend. She finds it weird and creepy because she constantly thinks about Taeyeon even if it's not necessary. She starts to day dream in class, imagining Taeyeon when the short girl is not around. She thinks she has a mental disease or something. What's going on with her?

She also decides to ask Taeyeon about that but the said girl passed by her just now and all her thoughts were wiped out.

“Did you get the assignment Soo? I wasn't listening.” Taeyeon says as she puts her books in her locker beside Sooyoung's. The shelf is a tad taller than her so Sooyoung always assists her when she puts her things inside. “I don't know, do we have any homework?” The taller girl asks gaining a disbelieving look from her best friend. “You weren't listening as well? Aish.. Jinjja.. What should I do with you?” Taeyeon closes her locker a bit louder than expected.

“Are you even in your right mind to trust me that I actually pay attention to the teacher?!” Sooyoung retaliates. Oh, it's just another one of their petty quarrels.

“Yeah I'm sorry. I forgot you act so cool and not pay attention in class then get the highest score during tests!” Taeyeon sarcastically spats. Sooyoung rolls her eyes. “It's not my fault I can answer stupid questions that you can't answer!”

“Are you calling me stupid?” Taeyeon feeling a bit hurt. Sooyoung sighs because she knows that was too far. “No. I'm sorry. You're not stupid of course. You're just short that's all.” She says earning a scowl from Taeyeon. She takes her hand and leads her outside the school. It's dismissal time anyway and they always walk home together.

“Why do we always fight Soo?” Taeyeon asks out of the blue. They are half-way through the houses they pass by on the way home and Sooyoung was a bit worried earlier that Taeyeon is mad at her.

“I don't know. But I guess it's fun?” Sooyoung thinks deeply if her answer is what Taeyeon is looking for. She has a feeling that it isn't. She actually doesn't know the answer to that question as well. “Why do you ask?”

“Well, sometimes I think about us and why did we become friends when we get on each other's nerves all the time.” Sooyoung doesn't respond and she continues to walk. “It's just that maybe I want some peace?” The uncertainty of her friend's voice disturbed her. What does Taeyeon mean by that?

“Are you... I mean.. You...” As soon as she stops and faces Taeyeon, she feels her heart pounding wildly in her chest. “Are you saying that you don't want to be friends with me anymore?” There, she said it. She doesn't want to hear the answer though.

But her worries are lifted once she saw Taeyeon's lips form in a sweet smile. “Of course not pabo! Why would I stop being friends with you? I like you too much.” Taeyeon misses the blush that creeps into Sooyoung's face as they start to walk again hand-in-hand. “And that's what's weird you know? I like you and I also like fighting with you.” They both giggle at their indecisive minds and silliness.

“We don't really even fight that long right?” Sooyoung says. “We can't really stand not to talk or not be around each other.” Taeyeon nods in agreement.

“That's right. I didn't know why I even asked.”

“Do you want to get some ice cream before we go home?” Sooyoung asks as they passed by the ice cream parlor.

“Sure! Your treat?”

“Araseo.”

She's frustrated with herself again. She spent the whole afternoon with Taeyeon and she forgot to ask about that guy again!

“UGH!” She drops herself on top of her bed in annoyance and buries her face on the pillows. She really needs to ask Taeyeon that question. But why is it even important anyway?

Nothing's really happening between Taeyeon and that guy. And why doesn't she know the guy's name anyway? She should probably ask Hyoyeon, the biggest gossip in school. That girl would definitely know. She just hopes that she won't forget to look for Hyoyeon tomorrow.

Her phone rings and she scrambles off her bed to find out who it is. It's pretty unusual for her to have a phone call in this hour. She searches her bag and when she found her phone, she checks the caller.

Her heart suddenly jerks from her chest and it starts beating rapidly. With trembling hands, she put the phone on her ear and mumbles a soft, “Hello?”
