CH48: Prank Day Pt. 2

Jessica was stirred from her beauty sleep as she sat up on the bed, letting out a morning yawn while stretching her arms in the process. To her surprise, she woke up a minute before her alarm clock started to ring. Hearing the loud ringing device was making sounds; Sooyoung quickly went to turn it off even before Jessica could put it on silence herself. “Youngie chu?” Jessica looked at her shikshin who was panicking.

“Sica chu,” Sooyoung sat on the bed with her girlfriend and covered Jessica’s mouth using her palm. “Stay quiet.” Jessica was clueless at first but then she removed Sooyoung’s hand from covering . “Youngie chu, what’s wrong?”

Knock knock!

“Youngie yah! Sica unnie! I know you two are up! Come on out unnies!”

Sooyoung cringe at the mischievous voice of Yoona and she looked back at Jessica. “Sica chu, today is Monday.” Jessica nodded in understood. Of course she knew that, her phone told her so but she didn’t seem to get Sooyoung. “No, no, no!” Sooyoung knew her girlfriend misunderstood her. She held onto both Jessica’s hands and firmly said, “Today is THE Monday!” Jessica was thinking of something for a moment and ended up yawning as a response to her partner.

“Prank Day?”

“Yeah!” Sooyoung nodded. Jessica rolled her eyes when she heard another knock and Yuri’s voice echoing from outside. She got up from her bed, took her towel and walked straight to the door. She was about to open it but then Sooyoung had to grab her away from the door in panicky. “Youngie chu!” Jessica whined when she was pulled away. “I had to get ready for class! And you should too!” Sooyoung only pouted and pointed at the door with a concern look. Jessica sighed a smile as she gave a kiss on the cheek to her shikshin. “Don’t worry, I’ll murder them for you if we get pranked okay?”

Jessica went over to the door again and opened it. Sooyoung quickly shielded her girlfriend when she saw the pranksters were just standing in the hallway, in front of their room. “Guys! I know what today is so I’m not letting you prank my Sica chu and myself!” Sooyoung said, though her voice was a bit shaky. Yoona laughed while she jerked her head side to side. “Unnie! We’re not going to prank you! We prepared junk food breakfast for both of you.”

“Junk food breakfast?” Jessica looked confused when the pranksters nodded innocently. Yuri quickly showed the sandwiches that she prepared. “This is not an ordinary sandwich.” She took off the bread on top and showed the contents. “See! I made Cheetos sandwich!” Sooyoung couldn’t take her eyes off the sandwich once Yuri placed the bread on top of the food once again. “That looks scrumptious.” The shikshin said and watched Yoona ate the sandwich seductively, teasing her.

“Wow. Joohyun might go berserk if she knows about this.” Jessica commented as Yuri only shrugged. “Ah! I can’t take it anymore! Give me some of th–THUD!” Sooyoung ran over a thick glass window that was placed in front of the door, preventing the two to come out from their room. The pranksters laughed so hard the moment Sooyoung fell on the floor, whining while rubbing her forehead. “HAPPY PRANK DAY YOUNGIE!”

Jessica who was down on her knees to help and comfort Sooyoung quickly threw a glare to the two pranksters, making them to stop laughing. “You two are so dead.” Yuri and Yoona awkwardly glanced at each other before they quickly ran to their room. “It hurts, Sica chu! It hurts!” Sooyoung whined some more while she snuggled on Jessica’s embrace. Jessica only shook her head as she comfort the shikshin with endless forehead rubbing and kisses. “Don’t worry, Youngie chu! We’ll get them back!”

Later that day,

“Yonghwa oppa!” Seohyun happily ran into the embrace of her boyfriend. Yonghwa hugged his precious one dearly and broke the hug after planting a kiss on Seohyun’s head. They walked to a nearby food stall together and settled down for lunch. “So what was the last chapter we studied?” Yonghwa asked after feeding Seohyun a mouthful meal. Seohyun was chewing her food while she was taking out her book from her school bag. She put the book on the table as Yonghwa scooted closer to her.

Seohyun swallowed her food as she started to flip through the pages. “We’re on chapter–AHHH!” She stopped on a page and hugged Yonghwa’s arm while moving away from the book. Even Yonghwa was startled at the dead lizard that was on the page where they stopped. “What the hell!” He quickly took his chopsticks and pulled the small lizard out from the book, raising it before taking a closer look at it. “Yah oppa! Throw that thing away!”

“There’s a note!” Yonghwa chirped when he saw a folded memo that was glued with the lizard. He took it and unfolded the memo to read it. “Dear Joohyun, Happy Prank Day! We promised to not prank you with dead lizards after this, okay? Love, Yoong and Yul unnies. Eksho-eksho (xoxo).” Seohyun sat up straight when Yonghwa mentioned her unnies’ names.

“Aish! I should have known!” Seohyun pouted while Yonghwa only laughed.

Taeyeon yawned heavily as she had just waked up and it was late afternoon for goodness sakes. “Uhm, just got up.” She grinned when she thought of something. “Wae? You want me to stay in bed until you come back home?” There was soft giggle received through the line. “I’m just kidding, my love. Done with dance class?”

“Mm. Don’t you have your vocal class today too?”

“Nah,” Taeyeon grabbed her towel as she went to the make-up table. “I’m going to pick you up at your campus and then we’ll go on an ice cream date at the park.” She smiled at the picture of herself and Hyoyeon during their childhood years. “Sounds good?”

“It’s okay. Yul and Sunbun could take me there while I’ll wait for you–”
